If the haze or drip is trapped between panes, do not scrub the exposed surface harder: check the manual for your exact oven model before trying to reach inside the door.
First identify where the mark is
Look at the glass from different angles. Soil on the exposed inner surface can be cleaned directly. A mark that appears behind the glass, between panes, will not come off with wiping that surface.

Clean accessible inner glass safely
- Turn off the oven and let it cool completely. Samsung’s Singapore-region built-in oven manual advises waiting for the oven to cool before wiping spots on the inner glass.
- Wipe with a soft, clean cloth. Use mild or neutral detergent, or warm soapy water. Work gently rather than pressing hard on the glass.
- Wipe away residue and dry the glass. Use a clean, lightly damp cloth for residue, then dry with a soft cloth. Keep the gasket and door cracks dry: Samsung Canada warns moisture entering cracks may get between the panes.
- Stop if the mark appears trapped behind the glass. Further surface scrubbing will not reach it; consult the manual for your exact model.
Materials to avoid
The applicable Samsung manual warns against abrasive cleaning agents, hard brushes, scouring pads or cloths, steel wool, and knives. These can scratch the glass or damage finishes. Do not use sharp tools to scrape a mark from the door.

Samsung’s US support guidance describes reaching the door gap with a long, thin, preferably flexible implement wrapped in a cleaning cloth and secured so the cloth cannot come loose. It also suggests a purpose-made oven cleaning tool. These are not universal instructions: only use a tool if the door design and your model’s manual permit it.

The same US guide says to remove the door according to the model manual, then locate the gaps or grooves along the bottom to wipe inside the gap. Do not assume your Samsung double oven has the same pane arrangement, slots, clips, or screws as another model, and do not improvise by removing glass panels or fasteners. Samsung warns that damage caused by taking the door apart may not be covered by any remaining warranty. If your manual does not give a procedure you are comfortable following, contact Samsung service; the cited US guide identifies out-of-warranty service as an option when owners cannot clean the door.
Check the manual before removing the door
Find the oven’s model number on its appliance label and use that number to locate the matching official manual for your region. Door construction, removal steps, warranty terms, and service availability can vary by model and market. Samsung’s guidance on between-pane cleaning and service is from the United States; the cited cool-down and gentle-cleaning advice comes from a Singapore-region manual, while the caution about moisture entering cracks is from Samsung Canada.
