Start by deciding whether you are displaying minifigures or a larger assembled build. A Batman figure frame and a case for a Batmobile solve different problems; for a model, measure its finished length, width and height—including its base and protruding parts—and compare those figures with the case’s usable interior dimensions.
Choose a display format for what you own
A shallow frame or compartment case suits individual minifigures. A Batmobile, Batwing, Batcave or multi-part scene needs a larger enclosure sized for the complete assembled display. These formats are not interchangeable: LEGO’s Minifigure Display Case 16 is about 37 × 18 × 4 cm overall, while the LEGO Play and Display Case is about 39 × 19 × 14 cm overall. Neither is long enough for the LEGO Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile, set 76328, which LEGO specifies as over 50 cm long once built.

The cabinet option is a category, not a recommendation for a particular product. Assess it against the actual models and space you have.
Measure the finished build before shopping
Record the model’s length, width and height in the orientation you plan to display it. Measure the complete arrangement, including a base, display plaque, cape, wings, accessories or other projections that affect the footprint. LEGO lists the completed Classic TV Series Batmobile (76328) at over 50 cm long, 18 cm wide and 14 cm high. Those dimensions apply to that model, not to every LEGO Batman vehicle or build.

Compare all three measurements with the case’s internal usable dimensions, not its outside size or a set-compatibility label. The interior should exceed the model’s measurements; leave extra clearance if the build has delicate projections or you will need to reach in to reposition it. A BrickShell Cases listing offers an acrylic case made for set 76328, but confirm its interior dimensions and exact configuration with the seller before ordering.
For minifigures, check capacity and depth
Count the figures and account for capes, oversized accessories and unusual characters, which may need more room than a standard figure. Product dimensions and capacities below are vendor specifications; confirm the selected option on the live listing.

LEGO’s Play and Display Case – Blue (5006157) is another compact figure presentation format: it has six gray baseplates arranged over two levels beneath a transparent cover and measures about 39 × 19 × 14 cm overall. Its product description does not make it a substitute for a long-model enclosure.

Think about whether you expect to rearrange the display. A front that opens or comes off can make access easier; a more enclosed design can reduce routine dust exposure. Check how the panels open and whether the case can be removed from its mount without disturbing the build.

- For wall mounting: confirm the mounting method, case weight, required fasteners and suitability of the wall. Do not assume hardware or wall compatibility from a product photo.
- For a shelf or desk: compare the case footprint with the available surface and consider stability, especially for a tall or wide display.
- For frequent access: look for a clear opening method and enough clearance to lift figures or a model out safely.
The Batman frame listing from Minifigures Display describes both hanging and freestanding placement. LEGO describes Case 16 as suitable for wall mounting or a flat surface; check the current product details for the mounting arrangement you intend to use.

A covered case can enclose a display and help keep dust off it, but maker descriptions are not independent durability tests. Compare whether the enclosure is closed on all sides, how its panels open, what material is used, and whether the viewing surface is clear enough for the location and lighting.

LEGO describes Case 16 as having a transparent clasp door and separate compartments. Its Play and Display Case has a transparent cover and six gray baseplates across two levels. Retailers advertise dust protection or UV protection for some products, including the BrickShell case for set 76328 and Wicked Brick’s case for Batman Movie Collectable Minifigure Series 2 (71020). Those are retailer claims; the available product descriptions do not establish quantified protection ratings or comparative test results. Treat UV protection as a feature to verify with the maker if the display will receive strong light, not as proof that a particular case prevents fading.
