A weighted jump rope can add resistance to conditioning at home or in CrossFit-style workouts, but the reviewed Everlast adjustable model is listed at $21.99—not the $18 price in the title. Treat $18 as a budget target, not a verified current deal, and check live prices, stock, shipping, and return terms before buying.
What to check before buying
For an affordable weighted jump rope, compare more than the advertised weight. Make sure it suits your workout, can be sized for you, and includes the parts needed to use it.

- Resistance: Check whether the rope has one fixed weight, selectable settings, or interchangeable ropes. Confirm the weight for the exact configuration you would use.
- Length and fit: Look for a stated rope length and whether it can be trimmed or adjusted. A trimmable rope is useful, but trimming is permanent; size it carefully before cutting.
- Handles and compatibility: Confirm that handles are included. Some replacement ropes require compatible handles or connectors and are not complete setups on their own.
- Intended use: A weighted rope may suit general conditioning, while a specific jump-rope skill can call for equipment that is easy to control. Learn the movement before increasing resistance.
- Purchase terms: Check the current price, stock, shipping, and return policy on the listing you plan to buy. Product-page prices can change.
What the reviewed products show
The Everlast page describes an adjustable model with three weight settings, a 9-foot rope that can be trimmed, and a precision ball-bearing rotation joint. The manufacturer lists the settings as ranging from 38 g to 126 g and displays a price of $21.99. Those are manufacturer-stated details, not independent performance findings; verify the live listing before purchase.
For comparison, Crossrope sells a multi-weight system rather than an entry-level rope near the $18 target. Its Classic page displays the following set prices:

How weighted jump ropes work—and how to start
A weighted rope adds resistance compared with a lighter rope, and adjustable or interchangeable systems let you choose among configurations. That makes weight one buying factor, not a substitute for learning sound technique. CrossFit Journal’s guide advises: “The first step is to master the skill of jumping properly without a rope.” The guide also recommends a surface that absorbs impact while providing rebound.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems- Learn the movement first. Practice the jump without a rope, following the CrossFit Journal guide’s advice.
- Choose a suitable surface. Use a surface that absorbs impact and provides rebound, rather than assuming a particular rope prevents injury.
- Check fit and control. Size the rope according to its instructions and begin with a configuration you can control.
- Add resistance deliberately. Use a heavier setting or rope only when it fits your workout and you can maintain the movement.
The CrossFit Journal guide discusses jump rope as conditioning equipment and emphasizes control and performance. It does not establish that a particular weighted rope prevents injuries or delivers a specific calorie-burn or bone-density result.

Is a weighted jump rope worth it for home workouts?
It can be a practical conditioning tool if you want rope-based exercise and have room to use it on a suitable surface. At the $18 budget level, compare the complete setup—rope, handles, sizing, and any compatibility requirements—rather than choosing on price or weight alone. If switching between resistance levels matters, a multi-weight system is another option, but the Crossrope sets listed above are substantially more expensive than the target budget.
For an affordable adjustable option, the reviewed Everlast page gives a concrete reference point, but its displayed $21.99 price does not verify an $18 deal. Check the current listing and confirm that the specified settings, length, and included components match your needs.
