You can find smart TVs listed at or below $200, but the right choice depends on whether you value a larger screen, higher resolution, or a particular streaming platform. The options below are price snapshots from U.S. listings accessed or updated in October 2026—not hands-on test rankings—and prices and availability can change.

How should you choose between screen size and resolution?

Under this budget, the trade-off can be a compact Full HD set or a larger screen whose resolution varies by model. “HD,” “Full HD,” and “4K” are not interchangeable: confirm the resolution for the exact size and model you are considering. Roku’s Select Series family, for example, includes 24- and 32-inch HD models as well as 32- and 40-inch Full HD models.

  • DTS Virtual-X Sound - An immersive sound format creates a three-dimensional sound experience with your TV’s speakers.
  • Supports HDMI ARC - Sends audio directly from the HDMI jack to a compatible soundbar or AV receiver, removing the need for an extra cable.
  • For a bedroom or kitchen: A 32-inch model may be a practical fit. Compare its resolution and placement distance with your needs.
  • For a larger viewing area: A 40- or 43-inch sale model may fit the budget, but verify that the deal is still live and confirm the exact model’s specifications.
  • If detail matters more than screen size: Prioritize a confirmed Full HD or 4K specification rather than assuming a bigger screen has a sharper picture.

Which smart TV platform and connections fit your setup?

Google TV on the TCL 32Q3K

TCL lists Google TV, Chromecast built-in, dual-band Wi-Fi, and two HDMI inputs, one with ARC, on the 32Q3K. It also lists Bluetooth personal audio for pairing headphones. These are published features, not independent assessments; check the product listing for the precise configuration before purchase.

Roku OS on Roku Select Series TVs

Roku says its Select Series sets use Roku OS and include a voice remote. Its family includes several sizes and both HD and Full HD resolutions, so do not assume that the specifications of one size apply to another. Roku lists a 200 mm × 200 mm VESA pattern for its 32-inch Select models.

Fire TV on the deal examples

The October 2, 2026 Tom’s Guide roundup describes the Ember 2-Series and Fire TV 4-Series as Fire TV models and reports their respective features in the comparison table. Because those prices were reported as deals, check both current availability and the complete model name before relying on them.

Before choosing, check how many HDMI devices you need to connect, whether you want Bluetooth headphone support or voice control, and whether the TV’s platform suits your household. Streaming apps need an internet connection: Roku says Select Series streaming requires Wi-Fi or ethernet. A paid streaming subscription is separate from the TV purchase.

What should you check before buying?

  1. Confirm the exact model and size. Similar product names can cover different screen sizes and resolutions. Match the full model number and listing details.
  2. Check the live total. Compare the current item price and account for applicable tax, shipping, and delivery fees if your $200 limit is an all-in budget. The October 2026 prices above are snapshots, not guaranteed current offers.
  3. Verify the picture specification. Confirm whether the particular model is HD, Full HD, or 4K; do not infer it from screen size or product-family name.
  4. Check ports and wireless features against your devices. Confirm the number and type of HDMI inputs, and whether the model supports any audio or wireless connection you rely on.
  5. If wall mounting, verify compatibility. Check the specific TV’s VESA pattern and the mount’s supported weight and size. Roku lists a 200 mm × 200 mm pattern for its 32-inch Select models; do not apply that dimension to other televisions without checking their specifications.
  6. Budget for connectivity and viewing costs. Streaming requires internet, and paid services may require separate subscriptions. An antenna, mount, or streaming player is an optional accessory, not a requirement for these smart TVs.
