1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsChoose a screen protector whose listing explicitly names the standard Nothing Phone (4a), then verify that it is described as case-friendly with the case you plan to use. No specific aftermarket protector-and-case combination is verified here. You can use the protector already fitted to the phone until it needs replacing.
What comes with the Nothing Phone (4a)?
Nothing says the box includes a screen protector that is pre-applied and a protective case. That gives you a starting point: there is no need to buy a replacement simply because you have bought the phone. Nothing’s in-box contents information confirms both items.

T3’s reviewer described the fitted layer as plastic and reported seeing scratches after two weeks of personal use. That is one reviewer’s observation, not a controlled durability test or a prediction of how quickly every owner’s protector will scratch. Read T3’s Phone (4a) review.

How to check whether a protector will fit your case
- Match the exact phone model. The listing should say “Nothing Phone (4a).” Do not assume a protector labelled Phone (4a) Pro, Phone (3a), or simply a matching screen size will fit. Nothing’s published external dimensions do not establish that different models share screen geometry.
- Look for a meaningful case-fit claim. Prefer a listing that says it is case-friendly and explains its edge coverage, or explicitly names the case you own. “Case-friendly” by itself is a seller’s claim, not proof that a particular protector and case combination has been tested together.
- Inspect the edges and cutouts. Review the product images for how far the protector extends toward the screen edges and whether its openings align with the phone. Do not use the phone’s overall width to infer the protector’s width.
- Ask when compatibility is unclear. Before ordering, ask the seller to confirm both standard Phone (4a) compatibility and fit with your exact case model.
Nothing lists the Phone (4a) as 163.8 mm high, 77.45 mm wide, and 8.55 mm deep, while noting that actual measurements can vary with manufacturing and measurement methods. These are the phone’s external dimensions, not the usable display area or a protector template. Nothing’s dimensions information cannot establish protector sizing or case clearance.

Replacing the pre-applied layer
Keep the supplied protector in place until it is damaged or you decide to replace it, unless the new protector’s own instructions require removal. The available product information does not establish a universal rule for stacking one protector over another, so follow the selected product’s instructions rather than assuming stacking is suitable.
- Apply the replacement according to its included instructions.
- Fit the case gently rather than pressing or forcing it over the new protector.
- Check the perimeter for contact between the case lip and protector, lifting, bubbles, or an edge caught beneath the case.
This is a practical installation check, not a verified fit test for any named accessory.

What is—and is not—known about compatibility
The available official information confirms the phone’s dimensions and what is included in the box, but does not give protector dimensions or a case-clearance measurement. No particular aftermarket protector or protector-and-case pairing is verified here. Treat compatibility as something to confirm for the exact phone, protector, and case—not as a guarantee based on a shared screen-size label.
A Nothing Community participant asked, “Hi i ordered the 4a , can someone suggest which tempered glass should I go for and also please recommend cases , anyone know is a spigen case and tempered glass are available??” That is one forum participant’s question, not evidence of broad demand or verified compatibility.
