Run a speed analysis in hPanel

Sign in to your hosting account and open Websites.

Open the relevant site’s Dashboard, then choose Page Speed in the left-side navigation.

Select the domain or subdomain you want to test. It must point to your hosting account to appear in the selector.

Choose mobile or desktop, then click Analyze.

Review the report’s Results, Diagnostics, and Past Results sections.

Current help instructions use Websites → Dashboard. Older support material uses Websites → Manage, so follow the newer dashboard labels if the older path does not match your control panel.
What the Page Speed report tells you
Results
Use this area for the overall score and the aspects analyzed. Treat the score as an overview of that test, not as a diagnosis or a guarantee of how every visitor experiences the site.
Diagnostics
Open this section to see more detailed findings and linked guidance. Start with these findings when deciding what to fix; a single score does not identify the underlying cause by itself.

Past Results
Use previous tests to see how results changed after an update or between checks. For a useful comparison, test the same page under the same device and comparable conditions rather than attributing every score difference to a site change.
Why mobile and desktop scores can differ
A mobile result may be slower without indicating a hosting problem. Mobile devices have slower processors, and PageSpeed Insights simulates a slower cellular connection. Device capability and network conditions can therefore affect the result.
For another testing view, you can use Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix. GTmetrix lets you choose a test location, device, and connection speed. When comparing results across tests or dates, keep the page and test conditions as consistent as possible.

What to investigate when a site is slow
Use the report to narrow the investigation rather than making changes based on the score alone. Several possible areas to consider include:

Website optimization: Review the diagnostic findings and the site’s loading assets and integrations.

Server maintenance or distance: Temporary maintenance and the physical distance between visitors and the server can affect loading.

Database optimization: Database changes may require help from a developer. Some options may not be available on Web or Cloud plans because of security limitations.

WordPress caching: Browser caching and LiteSpeed Cache are options to investigate for WordPress sites.

If the site uses a website builder, check how its assets are served and whether uploaded visuals are automatically optimized. Consider limiting GIF use and retaining only necessary integrations, since extra code takes time to load.

An upgrade may be a conditional consideration when a site is already optimized but growing and needs more resources. It is not a guaranteed fix for every slow page; first use diagnostics to determine whether capacity is the issue.

The Page Speed report is not the only useful source of context. Hosting control-panel analytics documentation may show request response time in milliseconds in access logs. Those logs offer request-level context distinct from the Page Speed report, which summarizes speed and optimization performance.
Use GTmetrix when you need to control test location, device, or connection speed, and use hPanel’s Past Results for a convenient history of its own checks. Different tools and test conditions may produce different results, so compare like with like.
