Where to find Google Play purchase history
Google Play order history shows app and digital-content orders made through Google Play. Google documents these paths in its order history help page. Menu labels or their placement may vary by device, app version, and region.

In the Play Store app
- Open the Play Store on your device and tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Budget & history to see app and digital-content orders.
On the web
- Go to play.google.com and open the profile menu.
- Select Payments & subscriptions → Budget & Order history.
- Review the listed orders.
Google Play history versus Google Payments
These records overlap in purpose but are not interchangeable. Google says other Google payments and Google Pay transactions do not appear in Google Play order history.

Google sends purchase confirmation emails to the Google Account used for the order. If an entry is hard to identify, search that account’s inbox for a receipt as well as checking its order history.

How to identify a Google Play charge on a statement
Google Play purchases appear with statement descriptors beginning with GOOGLE*, followed by an app developer name, app name, or a content type such as books. Compare the descriptor and transaction date with your order history before reporting a charge. Google Play Help explains the listed formats and reporting routes in its guide to charges you don’t recognize.
What to do if a charge is missing or unfamiliar
Check your accounts and subscription records
Look through every Google Account you own or manage. A purchase may have been made from a different account, and subscriptions may be listed under Subscriptions & services at payments.google.com rather than in the Play order list. An entry missing from one view alone does not prove that a charge is fraudulent.

Allow for a temporary pending authorization
Google says a canceled order can leave a pending charge temporarily; duplicate authorizations can also appear, and adding a payment method may trigger a small temporary authorization. Check for a matching order or subscription before treating a pending entry as unauthorized. Google’s unauthorized-charge guidance describes these situations.
Choose the reporting route based on the descriptor
- The descriptor matches a Google Play format: If it remains unfamiliar after checking your accounts and records, use Google’s unauthorized-charge reporting process.
- The descriptor does not match one of Google’s listed formats: Google says the charge did not come from Google Play; contact your payment provider’s fraud department.
Google Play Help states reporting windows of 120 days for credit, debit, or PayPal transactions and 60 days for mobile-carrier billing. These are Google’s stated windows for taking action, not a promise of a refund; payment route and location may affect the process.

Refund or unauthorized-charge report?
Use the route that reflects who made the purchase. If a friend or family member accidentally bought something, request a refund through Google’s refund policy guidance. If no one you know made the purchase and it appears fraudulent, report it as an unauthorized charge. Refund eligibility depends on what was purchased, when and how it was paid, and your location.
