On your Pixel, open Settings > About phone and scroll to Model. That entry identifies the phone’s model; the IMEI shown nearby is a separate device identifier.
Find the model in Settings
- Unlock your Pixel and open Settings.
- Tap About phone.
- Scroll to the Model entry and read the model information shown there. Google Store Help’s instructions for finding a phone’s IMEI and model use this same path.
Use the entry labeled Model when identifying your phone. An IMEI is not the model name: it is a unique identifier for a device. Depending on the Pixel and its SIM setup, a phone that supports both eSIM and a physical SIM can have two IMEI numbers, one for each SIM type.

If you cannot use the phone
Look up the device through your Google account
Open Google’s Your Devices page to check devices associated with your account. Google says it can show models for most Made by Google devices, so a Pixel may not appear there. Google also documents using Find My Device to view information about a selected phone.
Check the retail box
If you have the phone but its display is unusable, check its retail box for device information. Google lists the box among the places to find Pixel phone identification details in its guide to finding IMEI and other Pixel phone ID numbers.

Google’s Android OS verification page includes a Device identifiers section that can show the model and IMEI. See Google’s Android operating system verification instructions for details.
Model name versus IMEI
The model tells you which Pixel product you have; the IMEI is a unique identifier for that device. Google lists “Model” and “IMEI” separately in the phone’s About phone settings and explains the IMEI as an identifier. Use the model field for ordinary identification, and avoid posting an IMEI publicly.
