Compare your PC’s Windows version, processor, memory, graphics card and installation drive with the published requirements below. The minimum tier is the threshold to check first; the recommended tier is the stronger target. The minimum GPU must support hardware ray tracing, and the game requires an SSD with 115 GB available. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee a particular frame rate or graphics setting.

Use the full model names shown in Windows or by your PC maker. A GPU family name alone can hide meaningful differences. Do not assume a higher-looking model number automatically meets the requirement if the exact model is not listed, or that extra RAM or storage can make up for a processor or GPU below the listed tier.
How to check your PC against the requirements
-
Find your Windows version and hardware
Open Windows System Information or Task Manager and select the Performance view to check the Windows version, processor, installed memory and graphics device. On a laptop with integrated and dedicated graphics, identify the active dedicated GPU as well as the integrated one.

- MULTIPLAYER EVOLVED — Battle in Horde Siege for large‑scale PvE action or prove your skill in refined Versus PvP with greater precision and competitive depth.
- CLASSIC COMBAT, MODERNIZED — Experience signature cover‑based gameplay enhanced with updated movement, traversal, and controls that feel like Gears while playing like something new.

Compare the exact CPU, GPU and RAM
Check your component names against the minimum column first. If a CPU or GPU is not named, the listing does not establish its standing just because its product number looks newer. You need a reliable comparison for that precise model before concluding it meets the threshold.
-
Verify hardware ray tracing
The listing explicitly requires a ray-tracing-capable graphics card at minimum and provides NVIDIA and AMD examples. A card that supports DirectX 12 is not, by that fact alone, confirmed to meet the ray-tracing condition.

Check the destination drive
Make sure the drive where you intend to install the game is an SSD and has at least 115 GB free. Steam notes that future updates may require additional storage, so leaving extra space is sensible.

Are these the final launch requirements?
The Coalition announced complete PC specifications for launch on September 17, 2026, and an editor’s note says its specifications image was updated September 28. The current Steam listing supplies the detailed text requirements in the table above. The official Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta FAQ warned that beta PC specifications were not launch specifications; beta-specific driver advice or problems should not be treated as permanent launch requirements.
For current details, use the live store listing rather than older reports quoting pre-final figures. Requirements can change, so check it again if you are making an install or upgrade decision after a game update.

Xbox Wire lists Windows PC and Steam availability alongside Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass, with a worldwide launch date of October 6, 2026. Its October 1 update says Early Access began that day for eligible players. Xbox Wire’s game overview describes the campaign, Horde Siege PvE and Versus PvP. The publisher’s store copy says online multiplayer features require an applicable Game Pass subscription; that condition does not change the hardware comparison.
