To check DLSS support, look up the exact game in NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX games list, confirm the feature in the game’s installed graphics settings, and check that your GPU supports that feature. If you mean an NVIDIA App override rather than the game’s native integration, inspect the title’s Driver Settings in NVIDIA App. “DLSS version” can mean a feature generation, an override model or preset, or the game’s runtime library version—three different things.
What “DLSS version” can mean
DLSS is a family of features, not one switch. A game may support one feature without supporting the others, and feature availability can also depend on the GPU. NVIDIA describes the features and lists hardware compatibility on its DLSS technology page.

- Feature support: Whether the game offers DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, DLAA, or another named feature.
- Model or preset: The model behavior selected by a game or applied through a supported NVIDIA App override.
- Runtime library version: The specific DLSS software library loaded by a particular game build. This is not the same as the feature name or an override model.
When asking or reporting whether a game “has DLSS,” name the specific feature where possible. A generic DLSS label does not establish support for every feature.
How to verify DLSS support in a game
- Search NVIDIA’s title list. Find the exact PC game in the GeForce RTX games list. Check the individual feature columns rather than relying on a general DLSS label. NVIDIA’s legend distinguishes native game support from NVIDIA App override support. The list says it was last updated May 31, 2026, and notes that integrations are added regularly, so treat it as a dated reference rather than a guarantee about every later game build.
- Confirm it in the installed game. Launch the game and open its graphics or display settings. Look for the named DLSS option and verify that it is available in your current build. NVIDIA’s list also directs users to load the game and enable DLSS in its options. A listing is useful, but the in-game menu is the check for what your installation exposes.
- Match the feature to your GPU. Check NVIDIA’s feature compatibility table for your GeForce RTX series. Do not assume that compatibility with one DLSS feature means compatibility with all the others.
- Check NVIDIA App overrides separately. Open NVIDIA App, go to Graphics, select the game, and inspect Driver Settings for DLSS Override options. Options are available only for supported titles and may require a recent app and driver. NVIDIA’s NVIDIA App release highlights describe overlay reporting for active override models and modes.
Native support and NVIDIA App overrides are different
Native support means the game itself integrates a DLSS feature and exposes it through its own settings. An NVIDIA App override is a separate option for supported titles that can change or update some DLSS model behavior. A game can have native DLSS support and also offer an override; finding an override does not mean the game lacks native support.

NVIDIA’s DLSS Override announcement explains the per-game override controls. Use the game list’s native-versus-override notation and the NVIDIA App’s Driver Settings to identify which route applies to your title.
How to find the exact runtime library version
If you need the exact DLSS runtime DLL or library version loaded by a specific game build, the checks above do not establish it. NVIDIA App’s overlay can show active override models and modes, but that information is not a universal report of the runtime DLL version. NVIDIA’s materials do not document one universal method that identifies the loaded library for every game.

For a library-level answer, consult documentation from the game’s developer for that title and build. Avoid inferring the runtime version from a feature label, the NVIDIA App overlay, or a game-list entry.
