Check the exact site, route, deployed contract, permissions and transaction before signing—and account for Blast’s underlying rollup risks. A familiar interface, successful transfer or audit badge alone does not establish that a particular app or route is safe.
What should you check before using a Blast app or bridge?
Work through these checks for the specific app and transaction you intend to use. Recheck current project notices and wallet details immediately before signing; app support, contracts and bridge operations can change.

- Confirm the site is genuine. Navigate from Blast’s official site or the project’s verified channels, not a sponsored search result, unsolicited message or link from an unfamiliar account. Match the domain to the project’s current documentation. Blast’s official bridge entry point is blast.io/en/bridge.
- Look for current support and incident notices. Check the named project’s announcements for pauses, migrations, exploit responses, deprecated contracts or discontinued integrations. A service ending Blast support is a service-specific change, not by itself evidence of a Blast-wide security problem.
- Verify the contract and route. Compare the network, asset, destination, recipient, contract address and spender with current project documentation and a reputable block explorer. For a bridge, identify whether you are using the canonical route or a third-party liquidity route; they can have different mechanisms and trust assumptions. Treat an unfamiliar or unexplained contract as a stop sign.
- Read the wallet request before approving. Check the chain, asset, recipient, amount, contract and permission shown in the wallet. They should match what you intended to do. Where supported, grant only the allowance needed rather than an unlimited token approval.
- Consider Blast’s infrastructure risks. L2BEAT’s Blast profile, checked October 4, 2026, reports that the fault-proof system is under development, invalid state roots are currently permitted, and contracts can be upgraded without delay. It also says users depend on the proposer submitting correct state roots and that proposer failure can freeze withdrawals. These are rollup-level trust assumptions, not findings that a particular app is compromised.
- Stop if anything does not match. Do not sign an unexpected request or one with a different domain, spender, contract, token or requested permission than you expected. If an unfamiliar or unneeded approval is already in place, inspect and revoke it through a trusted wallet or allowance tool reached by a verified route. Revoking an approval does not undo a transfer already made.
These checks reduce avoidable risk; they cannot certify an app, bridge, contract or rollup as safe. Ethereum.org’s bridge-risk guidance identifies smart-contract and technology failures, user error, chain compromise, malicious operators and bridge hacks as ways funds can be put at risk.

How do you compare Blast bridge routes?
Do not choose a route on interface polish or speed alone. First establish which route you are using, then verify its current transaction details and trust assumptions. The Blast Bridge Dashboard describes itself as an independent informational resource, not the official bridge; use it as a secondary reference, not as proof that a route is current or safe.

| Route | What is established | What to verify before using it |
|---|---|---|
| Canonical Blast bridge | Blast’s official bridge page presents deposit and withdrawal flows. The entry point is blast.io/en/bridge. | Confirm the live page’s route, asset, destination, transaction details and any withdrawal finalization instructions in the wallet and current official interface. |
| Third-party liquidity route | The independent Blast Bridge Dashboard distinguishes third-party liquidity routes from the canonical route, but it is not the official bridge. | Verify the route’s mechanism, contracts, operators, liquidity and withdrawal requirements against current primary project information. The dashboard’s current route details and timing are not established here. |
Does a service dropping Blast mean Blast is unsafe?
No. Uniswap Developers announced on June 29, 2026 that it was ending Blast support in its app/API bridging and cross-chain flows because demand had decreased significantly. That announcement describes Uniswap’s product decision; it does not claim that Blast or all Blast apps are unsafe. A discontinued integration can still matter to you because it may remove a route you previously used, so check the named service’s current support information before initiating a transfer.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What do Blast’s rollup risks mean for app users?
An app’s own contract and operational risks are separate from risks in the network it uses. L2BEAT’s Blast profile, checked October 4, 2026, reports an unfinished fault-proof system and dependence on a permissioned proposer to submit correct state roots. It also reports that upgrades can happen without delay and identifies invalid state roots as a current risk. In practical terms, users must account for operator and upgrade authority as well as the app itself; the profile does not establish whether any particular app is currently compromised.

L2BEAT also lists a March 26, 2024 milestone saying Blast upgraded to censor the Munchables exploiter. That is context about governance and operator powers, not evidence that every Blast app is unsafe or a current app-specific incident report.

What should you do if a Blast bridge transfer is pending?
- Save the transaction hash and confirm the transaction’s status on the explorer for the chain where it was submitted.
- Check the corresponding transaction or status on the other chain, where applicable, before concluding that funds are lost.
- Open the official Blast bridge page and follow its current withdrawal procedure, including any required finalization step. Do not rely on old third-party timing instructions if they conflict with the live official interface.
- If either side shows an unexpected result, use the project’s verified support channel. Never provide a seed phrase or sign a new transaction solely because someone claiming to offer support asks you to.
