On a supported Galaxy phone or tablet, open Settings > Digital Wellbeing (sometimes labeled Digital Wellbeing and parental controls) and tap the screen-time chart to see usage. Menu names and layouts can vary by model, software version, and region.
Check today’s screen time and app usage
- Open Settings.
- Tap Digital Wellbeing or Digital Wellbeing and parental controls.
- Tap the screen-time chart or tracker to view today’s total and time spent in individual apps.
The dashboard may also show notifications and device unlocks. Samsung’s US support guide says Digital Wellbeing requires Android 10 or later; availability and displayed settings can vary by device model, software version, and provider. Review a weekly report
In Digital Wellbeing, open Weekly report to see your average daily screen time and the apps you used most frequently that week. The report is useful for spotting patterns that a single day’s total may not reveal. The exact entry point may differ across Galaxy software versions.
Set a goal or limit an app
Screen-time goal
Digital Wellbeing includes an optional screen-time goal. Use the controls shown in your dashboard to configure one; available options and labels depend on the device and software.

App timers
To set a limit for a particular app, open App timers in Digital Wellbeing and choose the app and limit. Samsung says the selected app becomes unavailable after its configured limit is reached. Review the timer settings on your device, since controls can vary.
Checking your own usage is different from managing a child’s device
Digital Wellbeing’s usage dashboard is for reviewing activity on the device. Parent-managed controls use Family Link and can include daily limits, downtime, app limits, and content restrictions; the menus and features depend on the account setup and region.

Samsung child-account controls
Samsung’s UK guide says Galaxy child-account parental controls are available on devices running One UI 6.1 or higher. Once parental controls are set up, its documented route is Settings > Samsung account > Family > child account > Family Link. Follow Samsung’s Galaxy for Families guide for the controls covered there.
Family Link through Digital Wellbeing
Samsung’s Caribbean support page also documents this route: Settings > Digital Wellbeing and parental controls > Parental controls. It describes Google Family Link for viewing a child’s device usage and setting screen-time limits, as well as managing apps and other restrictions. Check the menus on the device and your local Samsung support page, because regional paths and features differ.

If Digital Wellbeing is missing or looks different
- Look in Settings for either Digital Wellbeing or Digital Wellbeing and parental controls.
- Check your Android and One UI versions and whether your device model and provider support the feature.
- Expect some menu labels and layouts to differ by model, software, app version, and region.
- Samsung US states that “Digital Wellbeing cannot be removed or disabled.” If you cannot find it, use Samsung support for your region rather than assuming the feature has been removed.
