Review any valid challans, select the ones to pay, and generate a PSID in ePay Punjab. If you have a paper ticket issued by a traffic warden, use the separate Traffic Challan service and the PSID printed on that ticket.
How do I check my Punjab traffic e-challan online?
First identify which type of challan you have. The two services use different lookup details: a Safe City camera challan is searched using vehicle information, while a manual traffic ticket is looked up using the PSID printed on the ticket.

Check a Safe City e-challan by vehicle details
- Open the official PSCA verification service: https://echallan.psca.gop.pk/.
- Enter the vehicle registration number and the owner’s CNIC without dashes, or enter the vehicle chassis number, according to the fields requested by the official ePay Punjab guide.
- Submit the search and review the valid challans returned for the vehicle.
The PSCA portal address is also given in Associated Press of Pakistan’s report of PSCA guidance. Open the address yourself rather than following a payment link from a message.

Check a manual traffic ticket with its PSID
- Find the PSID printed on the warden-issued paper ticket.
- Open the Traffic Challan service in ePay Punjab and enter the ticket’s PSID to view its details.
- Follow the payment instructions presented for that ticket.
The Punjab Police/ePay Punjab Traffic Challan user guide says: “Please enter your 18-digits PSID to view your traffic challan details.” That instruction applies to the screen described in that guide; ePay Punjab’s general payment page describes a different PSID length, so use the identifier generated or printed for your particular service rather than relying on a universal digit count.

How can I check my car challan by vehicle number or CNIC?
For the Safe City camera-challan search, use the official portal and the combination specified by the ePay Punjab Safe City guide: vehicle registration number with the owner’s CNIC entered without dashes, or the vehicle chassis number. The guide’s field description should take precedence over generic instructions that suggest entering only a vehicle number or only a CNIC.
If you have a paper ticket and its PSID, use the Traffic Challan service instead. The vehicle/CNIC search and the ticket-PSID lookup are separate workflows, so an unsuccessful search in one does not mean the other service is the right place to enter the same details.
How do I pay an e-challan online?
Generate a PSID for a Safe City challan
- After searching the Safe City portal, select the valid challan or challans you intend to pay.
- Generate the PSID through the Safe City eChallan flow in ePay Punjab.
- Copy the generated identifier carefully and use it in a payment channel presented by ePay Punjab.
ePay Punjab lists mobile banking, internet banking, ATMs, telecom network agents, mobile wallets, and over-the-counter bank payments. The options available can vary by institution or app, so check the choices shown when you make the payment. ePay Punjab says its system is linked to the State Bank of Pakistan and banks through 1Link.
Pay using the channel available to you
- In a banking or wallet app, select the relevant ePay Punjab or government-payment option and enter the PSID as prompted.
- At an ATM, telecom agent, or bank counter, provide the PSID and follow the displayed or staff-guided payment process.
- Check the challan details shown before confirming, and retain the payment confirmation or receipt.
The general ePay Punjab payment page describes a 17-digit identifier, while the Traffic Challan guide specifies 18 digits for its screen. Because the official material differs by service, copy the PSID supplied by your particular workflow and follow the payment screen; do not add, remove, or assume digits.

A PSID is the payment identifier used to retrieve or pay a challan through the relevant ePay Punjab workflow. For a manual warden ticket, it is printed on the ticket and is used to view the ticket details. For a Safe City e-challan, you first search by vehicle details, select the challan, and generate the PSID for payment.
What is the deadline for a manual traffic ticket?
Traffic Police Punjab says a manually issued traffic violation ticket should be paid within 10 days. Its guidance says that if seized documents are not submitted to the related traffic sector within that period, they are sent to court; it also says the violator can retrieve them from court after paying double the fine. This deadline and consequence refer to the manual-ticket process described by Traffic Police Punjab, not a general rule established here for Safe City e-challans.
How can I avoid fake e-challan payment messages?
Associated Press of Pakistan reported on April 15, 2026, that a PSCA spokesperson warned that official Safe City e-challan messages come from 9915 and contain no payment links or instructions. The spokesperson was quoted as saying: “Safe City e-challan messages do not contain any links, nor do they instruct citizens to make online payments.” Because this sender guidance is reported through APP, check current PSCA notices for any updated messaging information.
Quick Recap
- Do not enter card, banking, wallet, or other financial details through a link received by text.
- Type or bookmark the official Safe City portal address and verify the challan there.
- Generate a PSID through ePay Punjab and pay through a channel shown by the service.
- APP’s report says readers can call emergency Helpline 15 and select option 6 for guidance.
