Use Reforge to change the look of equipped armor or weapons without changing their stats. Armor Reforge is handled by Yoana at Crow’s Perch after the Master Armorers quest; weapon Reforge is handled by Hattori on Glory Lane in Novigrad after Of Swords and Dumplings. Add the equipment or crafting diagram for the look you want to Geralt’s inventory to unlock it.
Which smith handles armor and weapons?

How to apply an unlocked appearance
- Unlock the appropriate smith: finish Master Armorers for Yoana or Of Swords and Dumplings for Hattori.
- Add the equipment or crafting diagram for the appearance you want to Geralt’s inventory. CD PROJEKT RED says new equipment and diagrams unlock appearances. A current guide reports that an item in the stash may need to be moved into the inventory once before its appearance becomes available.
- Speak to Yoana for armor or Hattori for weapons, select Reforge, choose the item you are wearing, and pick an unlocked appearance. Menu placement is guide-reported and may vary with patches or platform interface.
The feature changes the selected item’s appearance only; its gameplay stats remain unchanged. Dyes applied to equipment using Blood and Wine carry over to the reforged item. These details are in CD PROJEKT RED’s September 28, 2026 announcement.
Does Reforge cost coin?
PC Gamer’s September 29, 2026 guide reports a fee of 100–200 coin per appearance change. CD PROJEKT RED’s announcement does not specify a price, so treat that range as a secondary guide estimate rather than an official fixed fee; it may change with updates.
