Turn on the device connected to the TV, then select the HDMI input matching the port it uses. On most Samsung Smart Remotes, press Home, open Connected Devices, and choose the HDMI tile. If your remote has a Source button, press it and select the matching HDMI input.
How do I change my Samsung TV to HDMI?

Turn on the TV and the connected device, such as a game console, computer, or cable box. Check the number printed beside the HDMI socket the cable is plugged into—for example, HDMI 1.

With a Samsung Smart Remote, press Home, navigate to Connected Devices, and select the HDMI input or device tile for that port. Depending on your TV interface, Connected Devices may appear in a menu or source launcher.

If your remote has a dedicated Source button, press it and select the HDMI input matching the cable’s port. If it does not, use Home or the on-screen menu to find Source or Connected Devices.

Samsung Support describes selecting the source corresponding to the port used by the connected device in its guide to connecting a cable box and other devices. Samsung notes that source-changing functions and menu wording can vary by TV model and country. If these labels do not match your screen, check the manual or support page for your exact model.
How do I switch to HDMI 1?
First confirm that the device is plugged into the TV socket labeled HDMI 1. Then open the input list using Home > Connected Devices on a Smart Remote, or press Source if your remote has that button, and choose HDMI 1. If the cable is in HDMI 2, select HDMI 2 instead; the selected input has to match the physical port.

Why does my Samsung TV say “No signal” on HDMI?
Check the basics before changing settings: the device must be powered on and awake, the TV must be set to the port it is actually connected to, and the cable must be firmly seated at both ends.

Try a different HDMI port on the TV, then select that port from the input list.

If the device still is not detected, test another HDMI cable. A replacement cable is a troubleshooting option, not something you need just to change the TV’s input.
