If you know your Samsung TV’s current PIN, change it in Settings. If you forgot it, use the reset button sequence for your remote; Samsung says the PIN returns to 0000. Menu names and paths depend on the TV’s model, year, software version, and region.
Change a PIN you know
On 2025 Samsung TVs, Samsung’s U.S. instructions give this path:

- From the Home screen, open Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Change PIN.
- Enter the current PIN.
- Enter the new PIN, then enter it again to confirm.
This path is specified for 2025 TVs, not every Samsung model. Samsung’s Colombia support guide lists these examples for products purchased in Colombia:

Reset a forgotten PIN with the remote
Turn on the TV and enter the sequence for your remote type. Use the remote’s buttons in order:
- Samsung Smart Remote: Volume button > Volume Up > Return > Volume Down > Return > Volume Up > Return.
- Standard remote: Mute > Volume Up > Return > Volume Down > Return > Volume Up > Return.
Samsung says the sequence resets the PIN to 0000. On some Smart Remotes, the first control is a combined volume/mute button. After resetting, you can set a new PIN through the TV’s PIN settings. If the PIN is still 0000
If you have never changed the PIN, try 0000, which Samsung identifies as the default in its Latin American guide. Samsung says PIN creation is required during initial setup on 2025 TVs, so a TV that has been set up may already have a different PIN. Samsung Latin American PIN guidance

- Check the model and software: Menu paths and screens may differ. Find the TV’s model number and consult its manual or the Samsung support site for your region.
- Confirm the remote type: The recovery sequence differs at the first button depending on whether you have a Smart Remote or a standard remote.
- Check where the restriction is set: Parental controls may come from a connected set-top box or an app rather than the TV. In that case, contact the device manufacturer or service provider responsible for that control.
