Use Playwright’s fullPage: true option to capture a Hindi webpage beyond the visible viewport. It captures the page’s full scrollable content, but it does not guarantee that Hindi text will render correctly: verify the saved image in the browser and operating-system environment where you run the script.
Capture a Hindi webpage from top to bottom
Install Playwright in your project, then navigate to the target page and save a full-page screenshot. This JavaScript example uses Chromium and writes a PNG file:

})();Replace https://example.com with the Hindi webpage’s URL. The path sets the output filename; PNG is a straightforward default. Playwright’s documentation describes a full-page screenshot as capturing a full scrollable page as if it fit on a very tall screen (Playwright screenshots; Page screenshot API).
Check that Hindi text renders correctly
fullPage: true controls the captured area, not the page’s typography. Hindi glyphs are rendered by the browser using the fonts available in its host environment. After capture, open the image and check for missing-glyph boxes, unexpected fallback fonts, clipped text, or content that appeared after the screenshot was taken. The reviewed Playwright guidance does not prescribe a Hindi-specific font setup or a universal font-waiting recipe.

Rendering can differ across browsers and platforms, including because of fonts. For visual regression comparisons, generate both the baseline and new screenshots in the same browser and operating-system environment, with the same relevant rendering conditions. Choose screenshot scale and output format
For a smaller image whose dimensions correspond to the page’s CSS layout, use scale: 'css'. For device-pixel output, use scale: 'device'; on high-DPI settings this can produce an image twice as large or larger. The browser context’s deviceScaleFactor is an emulation setting and defaults to 1. These settings affect output dimensions, not whether Hindi glyphs are available.

Account for lazy-loaded and dynamically added content
A full-page capture covers the scrollable page state Playwright encounters; it does not establish that every site’s lazy-loaded images or infinite-scroll content has loaded automatically. If the page adds content only when a reader scrolls, determine how that specific site loads it, prepare the page accordingly, and inspect the result. Do not assume that one full-page screenshot triggers every site-specific loading behavior.

Troubleshoot common capture problems
- Hindi characters appear as boxes or fallback glyphs: check the screenshot in the same environment that ran the browser and confirm the page itself displays correctly there. Font availability and rendering vary by host;
fullPagedoes not fix missing fonts. - The bottom of the page or expected sections are missing: check whether the site appends content on scroll or loads it asynchronously. A full-page option alone does not guarantee that such content has been triggered.
- The image is unexpectedly large: use
scale: 'css'for one image pixel per CSS pixel, or check the context’sdeviceScaleFactorif device-scale output is intended. - Visual comparisons differ between runs: align the browser, operating system, fonts, and other execution conditions with those used for the reference screenshot.
