To capture an entire IRCTC page on Windows, use your browser’s full-page screenshot feature; a normal screenshot captures only what is visible in the window. Firefox offers a complete-page capture option, and Edge provides “Capture full size screenshot” in DevTools. Labels and controls can vary by browser version. Before sharing an image, inspect it and redact personal or booking information that recipients do not need.
Choose a visible-area or full-page screenshot
- Visible area: Use this when you need only the page currently shown on screen. A standard Windows or browser screenshot is usually sufficient.
- Full page: Use the browser’s full-page capture when relevant information continues below the window. It captures beyond the visible viewport in one image.
If the page is long, a system screenshot of the display may require several images and will not automatically include the parts below the fold.

Capture the full IRCTC page in a browser
Firefox
- Open the IRCTC page and wait until the content you need has loaded.
- Open Firefox’s page screenshot control and choose its complete-page capture option. The exact menu label and location may differ between releases.
- Review the resulting image, then save it locally.
Microsoft Edge
- Open the IRCTC page and wait until the relevant information is visible.
- Open Edge DevTools. In the DevTools command menu, find and run Capture full size screenshot. The precise way to open the command menu can vary by Edge release.
- Inspect the saved image to confirm it includes the intended content and no unnecessary details.
Browser controls change over time. If a label is missing, check the help for your installed browser rather than relying on instructions for an older release. IRCTC’s compatibility page lists Chrome 45+, Firefox 46+, Edge 13+, and Safari 10+; these are the versions on its published list, not a recommendation to install obsolete software. Use a current browser that IRCTC supports.

IRCTC’s privacy policy describes registration details, traveller information associated with bookings, site-visit data, and session data. It says the eTicketing site and mobile applications do not automatically capture specific personal information such as name, phone number, or email that identifies an end user individually; that does not mean a screenshot cannot show information already displayed on the page. Depending on the page, check for account names, PNR or booking identifiers, passenger names, journey details, and contact or payment information.

A website screenshot is not automatically a ticket
IRCTC’s registration terms define a Virtual Reservation Message (VRM) narrowly as a screenshot of an e-ticket displayed through a laptop, palmtop, or mobile phone. The terms separately define the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS) as the printed reservation document which, along with authorized identification, constitutes travel authority. A screenshot of the homepage, login page, search results, or an error message is not proof of a reservation.
For a real booking, use the official reservation record and applicable ERS/VRM rules. IRCTC’s FAQ says one passenger booked on an e-ticket under a PNR must carry and show an accepted photo ID in original during the journey. Check IRCTC’s current rules for the accepted documents; requirements can change.
