Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →For a quick website screenshot at an iPhone 15 Pro-sized viewport, open the page in Safari on a Mac, choose Develop → Enter Responsive Design Mode (⌃⌘R), set the viewport dimensions and pixel ratio, then capture the preview with macOS’s screenshot tool. Treat this as a browser preview, not an exact reproduction of an iPhone: Apple describes Responsive Design Mode presets as approximations and recommends Simulator for a more accurate iOS preview.
The key distinction: the iPhone 15 Pro’s display resolution is 2556 × 1179 pixels at 460 ppi, but that is not the website’s CSS viewport size. Safari exposes viewport dimensions in screen points and a separate pixel-ratio control. Apple’s cited specifications do not state a definitive iPhone 15 Pro CSS viewport width and height, so don’t use the display’s pixel dimensions as those values.

Choose what kind of screenshot you need
| Method | Best for | What the result represents | Setup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Safari Responsive Design Mode | Quick checks of responsive layout and media queries | A Mac browser preview at selected dimensions; an approximation of device behavior | Safari on Mac |
| iOS Simulator | Checking iOS-specific rendering and behavior more closely | A simulated iOS device; Apple recommends it for a more accurate preview | Safari and an appropriate simulator runtime, generally installed with Xcode |
| Physical iPhone with Web Inspector | Inspecting a page in the actual phone’s browser | The real device and browser state | An iPhone, a Mac, and Web Inspector enabled |
Apple notes that Responsive Design Mode presets do not represent the exact layout, rendering, and behavior experienced on an actual device. Browser chrome, the keyboard, and device-specific form behavior can affect what a person sees. Pick the workflow that matches the claim your image needs to support.
Capture a fast viewport preview in Safari
- Open the target website in Safari on a Mac.
- If Safari’s Develop menu is not visible, enable Safari’s developer features in its settings. The exact settings label can vary by Safari version.
- Focus the page, then choose Develop → Enter Responsive Design Mode, or press ⌃⌘R.
- In the Responsive Design Mode controls, set the viewport dimensions and pixel ratio. Viewport size is measured in screen points; pixel ratio is a separate setting.
- Capture the visible preview using macOS’s screenshot function. Label or describe it as a Safari responsive preview at the selected dimensions, rather than an exact iPhone capture.
Apple documents custom size and pixel-ratio controls in Responsive Design Mode. The iPhone 15 Pro display specification is listed separately in Apple’s tech specs; display pixels should not be substituted for viewport points.

Set dimensions without confusing pixels and points
A device’s panel resolution and a webpage’s layout viewport are different quantities. Responsive Design Mode lets you choose viewport dimensions and pixel ratio independently. Because Apple’s published iPhone 15 Pro specs give the panel resolution, not an explicit CSS viewport width and height, the evidence here does not establish one canonical pair of dimensions to enter. Use the controls for the dimensions you need to test, and state those dimensions if the screenshot will be shared as a test result.
Use Simulator for a closer iOS preview
For a more faithful check of iOS rendering and device-specific behavior, use the Open with Simulator option from Responsive Design Mode and select an available iPhone simulator. Apple recommends Simulator when a more accurate preview is needed; WebKit also describes using Simulator to inspect device-specific behavior. The available devices and exact menu wording depend on the installed Safari, Xcode, and simulator versions.

This is still a simulated device, not a physical iPhone. It is useful when the screenshot needs more than a desktop browser’s responsive layout approximation, such as checking interactions that behave differently on iOS.

Inspect a page on a physical iPhone
- On the iPhone, open Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Web Inspector and turn Web Inspector on.
- Connect the iPhone to a Mac. If prompted, trust the Mac on the phone.
- Open the target page in Safari on the iPhone.
- On the Mac, use Safari’s Develop menu to select the connected iPhone and its open page for inspection.
- Capture the screenshot using the iPhone’s screenshot method, or use the capture method available in the connected workflow. Identify which method produced the image.
Apple’s iOS and iPadOS inspection guide documents remote inspection. It does not establish one universal image-export command, so don’t assume that selecting a page in Web Inspector itself saves a screenshot.

Common problems and fixes
- Develop is missing: Enable Safari’s developer features in Safari settings, then reopen the menu. Menu labels can change between Safari versions.
- The preview looks too wide or narrow: Check the viewport-size controls, not just pixel ratio. Points set the viewport dimensions; pixel ratio is a separate control.
- The page differs from the iPhone: Responsive Design Mode is an approximation. Use Simulator for a closer iOS preview, or inspect the page on a physical iPhone when actual-device behavior matters.
- The screenshot includes browser interface or surrounding desktop: Capture the preview area deliberately with macOS’s screenshot tool; the final image is a host-system capture of the preview, not automatically a device-native screenshot.
- The iPhone does not appear in Develop: Confirm Web Inspector is enabled, the phone is connected, and any trust prompt has been accepted. Then check Safari’s Develop menu again.
- You cannot find an exact iPhone 15 Pro viewport preset: Apple’s published display resolution is not an explicit CSS viewport specification. Set the viewport and pixel ratio independently, or use Simulator for device-oriented inspection.

ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot or PDF from one GET request. Its clean-shot workflow accepts consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each of those steps can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and the response identifies the page verdict and billing status in X-Page-Verdict and X-Billed headers. It also provides an MCP server with take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents and MCP clients.
To request a screenshot, replace the sample URL and API key. For viewport and other capture options, see the ScreenshotNeo API documentation.

const res = await fetch(`https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot?${q}`);

Frequently asked questions
Can I capture a full-page screenshot this way?
The Mac screenshot method captures the visible preview area. If you need a full-page image, use a capture workflow that explicitly supports full-page capture rather than treating the desktop screenshot as a full-page result.
Does Responsive Design Mode prove that a site works on iPhone 15 Pro?
No. It is useful for layout checks, but Apple cautions that presets do not reproduce exact device layout, rendering, and behavior. Use Simulator or a physical iPhone when the distinction matters.

No. That is the iPhone 15 Pro display resolution in pixels, not an Apple-published CSS viewport size. Responsive Design Mode separates viewport dimensions from pixel ratio.
