Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsYou can start a FireShot capture without clicking its browser-toolbar icon: right-click the webpage and choose the FireShot menu item, or press Ctrl + Shift + S. Then choose whether to capture the visible area, a selected region, or the entire page.
Start FireShot without clicking its toolbar icon
- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Right-click the page and select the FireShot menu item, or press Ctrl + Shift + S. FireShot lists both as ways to start a capture in its onboarding instructions.
- Choose the capture scope that fits your purpose.
The context menu is convenient if you do not want to memorize a shortcut; the keyboard shortcut avoids using the mouse to activate FireShot. These methods avoid clicking the FireShot toolbar button—they do not establish that FireShot captures or removes the browser frame.

Choose what part of the page to capture
- Visible area: captures the webpage content in the current viewport.
- Selected area: lets you capture a particular region.
- Entire page: includes off-screen webpage content below the current viewport, as described in the FireShot manual.
Save or share the capture
FireShot’s manual lists PDF, PNG, GIF, JPEG, and BMP output, along with actions such as copying to the clipboard, printing, emailing, and exporting. The manual includes older interface-era details, so treat these as documented options rather than a guarantee that every format or action is available in every version or browser. Choose an available save or handoff action after capture.

FireShot’s onboarding documents Ctrl + Shift + S without specifying an operating system. It does not document a separate macOS trigger in the reviewed instructions. If the shortcut does not work, use the page context menu or check the extension’s current shortcut configuration; another extension or browser setting may be using the same keys.

Firefox also has a built-in screenshot tool, but it is separate from FireShot. Mozilla documents right-clicking an empty part of a page and choosing “Take Screenshot,” or using Ctrl + Shift + S on Windows and Linux and Command + Shift + S on macOS. Firefox’s built-in tool offers full-page, visible-area, and selected-region captures. See Mozilla’s Firefox Screenshots instructions; those platform-specific shortcuts should not be assumed to describe FireShot.

- No FireShot item in the context menu: confirm FireShot is installed and enabled in the browser, then try its toolbar icon or check the extension menu to isolate whether the issue is just the context-menu entry.
- The shortcut does nothing: try the right-click method and check the browser’s current extension shortcut settings for a conflict. The published FireShot instructions do not specify a separate macOS shortcut.
- The capture omits content below the fold: choose the entire-page option rather than visible area.
- An output option is missing: available save and export actions can vary by browser or extension version; use the formats and actions shown in your current FireShot interface.
