Cloudinary’s URL2PNG Website Screenshots add-on can generate an image of a public webpage and deliver it through Cloudinary. Its documentation names a fullpage option, but that alone does not guarantee that scrolling will trigger lazy-loaded images, infinite-scroll content, or other dynamic sections. Configure the capture, then verify it against the page you need.
How Cloudinary URL2PNG captures a webpage
The workflow is to request a screenshot using Cloudinary’s url2png delivery type and the target website URL as the public ID. Cloudinary generates the screenshot, then caches and delivers it through its image pipeline. See Cloudinary’s URL2PNG documentation for the current setup and request details.

The general shape of a URL2PNG delivery URL is:
<website URL>/url2png/<option=value>|<option=value>
This is a shape, not a complete production URL: the exact delivery URL depends on your Cloudinary account, resource, delivery configuration, and authorization. Use Cloudinary’s SDK or authenticated API to construct or generate the request rather than hand-writing an unsigned production URL.
Set capture options, including fullpage
Cloudinary’s URL2PNG guide names viewport, user_agent, and delay among the available options. Its example also sets fullpage=false, demonstrating that fullpage is a named option. The example does not establish that full-page capture works reliably for every page type or explain exactly how the option handles page dimensions and scrolling.

viewport: Specify the viewport needed for the capture, such as a desktop or mobile layout.user_agent: Set the user agent when the page’s rendering depends on it.delay: Allow time after loading for content to settle before capture.fullpage: Include it when your intended capture requires the full-page option, and inspect the resulting image to confirm the outcome.
Option names and examples are documented in Cloudinary’s URL2PNG guide. Do not infer undocumented behavior from an example parameter alone.
Does fullpage capture content that appears after scrolling?
Not necessarily. The available Cloudinary documentation establishes that fullpage is an option; it does not establish that URL2PNG scrolls through a page in a way that triggers lazy loading, captures infinite-scroll lists, waits for scroll-triggered sections, or handles nested scroll containers. Nor does it specify a general guarantee for those cases.

Test the actual target URL using the viewport, user agent, delay, and full-page setting you intend to use. Inspect the output for content that only appears after scrolling, delayed animations, lazy-loaded images, consent overlays, virtualized lists, and content inside nested scroll areas. These are test cases, not documented URL2PNG capabilities or known product limitations.
Authorize screenshot requests safely
By default, Cloudinary requires URL2PNG add-on URLs to be signed or eagerly generated through its authenticated API. The documentation also describes an account-level security setting that can allow unsigned add-on transformations. Review the authorization guidance before choosing that setting: signing helps control who can request screenshot generation, while eager generation lets your authenticated application create the image before delivery.

Keep Cloudinary API secrets on a server or in another protected environment. Do not put a secret into browser-side JavaScript or a public page.
Transform the screenshot after capture
Once Cloudinary has generated the screenshot, you can use its image transformations to make derivatives, including resized or cropped versions for cards and thumbnails. Cropping and resizing can remove content from view, so check that the output still includes the information your use case needs.
