Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Use Chrome DevTools Device Mode to set a mobile CSS viewport and device pixel ratio (DPR), then capture the visible viewport or the full page. The Pixel 9’s 1080 × 2424 panel resolution is a physical display specification, not a universal browser viewport size; don’t enter it as CSS pixels by default. For a device-specific check, verify the page on an actual Pixel 9.
Set up a Pixel 9-sized view in Chrome DevTools
- Open the page and DevTools. In Chrome, load the web page you want to capture, then open DevTools.
- Turn on Device Mode. Toggle the device toolbar to display the page in a mobile viewport.
- Choose a viewport. Select a Pixel 9 preset if one is available in your Chrome version. Otherwise, use the Responsive controls to enter the desired width and height in CSS pixels.
- Set DPR if needed. Adjust the device pixel ratio when you need to inspect high-density assets or page behavior that depends on DPR. Chrome Device Mode lets you adjust width, height and DPR; DPR describes the relationship between physical screen pixels and logical CSS pixels. See Chrome’s Device Mode documentation.
- Set orientation and page state. Choose portrait or landscape, and make sure the page is in the state you want to show.
- Capture the page. In Device Mode, open More options > Capture screenshot for the visible viewport, or choose Capture a full size screenshot to include content below the fold.
Choose dimensions without confusing pixels
Google lists the Pixel 9 as a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display with a physical resolution of 1080 × 2424 pixels, 422 PPI and a 60–120 Hz refresh rate. Those specifications describe the panel, not the browser’s usable CSS viewport. Google’s Pixel comparison page

CSS pixels represent the logical layout size used by web pages; physical pixels are the panel’s actual pixels. DPR relates the two. A single universally correct Pixel 9 CSS viewport is not established across browser versions, orientations and browser UI states. If an exact match matters, use a current Pixel 9 preset in your installed browser and record its dimensions, or check the viewport on the phone itself.

Choose viewport or full-page capture
- Viewport screenshot: captures the initial visible screen at the emulated mobile size. Use it when you want an image comparable to one screenful on a phone.
- Full-size screenshot: includes the page below the fold at the selected mobile width. It is useful for reviewing the whole layout, but its extra height means it is not a literal image of one handset screen.
Device Mode captures the emulated page, not necessarily the complete phone interface. If the deliverable must include browser controls or other phone UI, establish that requirement separately rather than assuming these capture commands include it.

Validate on a real Pixel 9 when it matters
Device Mode is an approximation: the page still runs on the desktop computer, not on the phone. It is useful for responsive layout work, but it cannot establish how every device-specific behavior will appear in actual handset use. For a final device-specific check, open the page on a Pixel 9 and inspect the relevant layout and interactions. Chrome recommends running the page on a mobile device when in doubt.
Troubleshooting common mismatches
- The page looks too wide or narrow: Check that the viewport is set in CSS pixels, not copied directly from the 1080 × 2424 physical panel specification. Confirm the selected preset or Responsive dimensions.
- Images or responsive assets differ: Check the emulated DPR as well as the viewport dimensions; DPR can affect which high-density assets a page uses.
- The screenshot cuts off content: Use More options > Capture a full size screenshot instead of the viewport capture.
- The preset or menu label is missing: Preset names and menu labels can vary between Chrome releases. Use Responsive controls for dimensions and look for the capture commands under Device Mode’s More options menu.
- The result differs from the actual handset: Treat desktop emulation as an approximation and verify on a physical Pixel 9, especially when device-specific behavior is important.

ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot or PDF from one GET request. Cookie banners are accepted and removed before the shot, along with 60+ known consent platforms, newsletter popups and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits cost nothing, and the response identifies the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server gives AI agents tools to take screenshots, get page information and capture PDFs.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. The API accepts a URL and can return PNG, JPEG or WebP images, or a PDF. To request a Pixel 9-like responsive view, use the documented viewport and DPR options; the API call does not make a desktop capture equivalent to checking the page on a physical phone.
