Then activate GoFullPage and inspect the finished image for gaps. This preparation follows GoFullPage’s official FAQ, but it cannot guarantee a complete capture: pages with custom JavaScript scrolling may not work properly.
Prepare the page before capturing
- Open the page you want to save. Make sure it has finished its initial load.
- Dismiss information bars and pop-ups. Close anything that covers the page content.
- Scroll from the top to the bottom. Pause as needed so images, text, or other deferred content can load. Scroll back to the top when you are done.
- Start GoFullPage. Select its extension icon in the browser toolbar, or use the shortcut if you have configured it.
- Review the result. Check the assembled image for missing sections or unloaded content before downloading or exporting it.
GoFullPage recommends scrolling the length of the page and loading its content before starting capture. Scrolling manually can prompt lazy-loaded sections to appear, but it does not force every site to load everything.
How GoFullPage captures a scrolling page
GoFullPage scrolls down and across the page in the browser, captures successive views, and assembles them into one image that opens in a new tab. From there, you can download the image or export it as a PDF in a page size you choose. The Chrome Web Store listing describes PNG, JPG, and PDF exports; available listings can change, so check the current store entry for your browser.

The extension attempts to handle fixed elements and inner scrollable areas, but its FAQ cautions that some pages do not capture correctly. Treat the output as something to check, especially on interactive pages.
Use the keyboard shortcut if you prefer
The GoFullPage FAQ lists Alt+Shift+P as a capture shortcut. Browser extension settings let you view or change extension shortcuts. A keyboard-started capture will not preserve a hover state as the extension scrolls, so hover-triggered menus or content may disappear from the result.

Check availability for your browser
Extension listings are subject to change. On September 7, 2026, GoFullPage’s official homepage announced a Firefox Add-ons release and said the website was temporarily pointing to a GoFullPage BETA Chrome extension. Confirm the current official listing for your browser before installing; the Chrome Web Store listing and the GoFullPage BETA listing may not remain the same.
Troubleshoot incomplete captures
Images or sections are missing
Scroll through the page before capture and wait for deferred content to appear. If a section is still absent, reload the page, repeat the preparation, and check whether the content appears during ordinary browsing. Some content may require interaction beyond scrolling.

The capture does not scroll properly
Some sites control scrolling with custom JavaScript, which can prevent GoFullPage from capturing the page properly. The FAQ suggests contacting support if you encounter an error. There is no preparation step that guarantees a fix for a site whose scrolling behavior the extension cannot handle.
The page is a PDF
GoFullPage’s FAQ identifies PDFs as a limitation: the extension cannot access a PDF document for scrolling capture. Use the PDF viewer’s own save or export options instead.

Fixed elements or inner scroll areas look wrong
The extension attempts to handle fixed elements and inner scrollable areas, but these are not guaranteed to render as intended. Inspect the assembled output; if a panel or nested area is incomplete, try capturing that content separately using the page’s own controls.
A hover menu or hover-only content is absent
GoFullPage cannot preserve a hover state while it scrolls through the page. If the content matters, open it through a persistent click or other available control before capture, if the site permits.

Can GoFullPage guarantee every lazy-loaded item will appear?
No. Scrolling first can prompt deferred content to load, but pages with custom scrolling behavior or other limitations may still capture incompletely.
