To capture a full webpage in Chrome with FireShot, open the page, launch the extension, and choose its entire-page capture command—not “Visible area.” FireShot captures content below the current viewport; after the capture, choose an available save or export action.

Launch FireShot using its toolbar button, the adjacent dropdown, Chrome’s main menu, or the page’s context menu. If you do not see the button, check Chrome’s Extensions menu.

Choose the entire-page capture command. FireShot’s documented default toolbar action is “Capture entire webpage and Edit.” Its manual says this mode grabs the areas of a page that cannot be seen without scrolling. FireShot usage instructions and the FireShot manual describe the capture modes.

When the capture is ready, select an available action such as saving, editing, copying, printing, or sharing. The exact choices can depend on the installed edition.
Choose the right capture mode
| Mode | What it captures | When to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Entire page | The webpage, including content beyond the visible viewport. | Use this for a full-page record or an image of a long page. |
| Visible area | Only the part currently visible in the browser window. | Use this when you need just the current screen. |
| Selected area | An area you specify with a selection tool. | Use this to capture a particular region rather than the whole page. |
FireShot documents these as separate commands, so selecting visible or selected area will not produce the same result as an entire-page capture. See its usage instructions.

Save or export the capture
The Chrome Web Store listing names PDF, PNG, and JPEG as formats. FireShot’s product overview also lists GIF and BMP, along with editing and annotation capabilities; availability can vary by edition. FireShot identifies paginated PDF export, batch URL capture, and scrolling-region capture as Pro capabilities. Its store listing also presents some editing and advanced PDF features as upgrades. If you need one of those specific functions, verify that it is included in the edition you are using before relying on it. The FireShot post-install page describes examples of Pro features.

Privacy and capture limitations
The Chrome Web Store listing says screenshots are stored locally and do not leave the user’s computer. That is the listing’s privacy statement, not an independent security audit; it should not be read as a guarantee about every export destination, configuration, or future release. The published instructions also do not establish that every site or dynamically loaded element will be captured perfectly. If a page relies on content that appears only after interaction or scrolling, check the result and capture again if needed.
