For a readable personal record, open the DigiLocker page in Chrome and save its print preview as a PDF. On a computer, press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on Mac; choose Save as PDF as the destination. On Android, use More > Share > Print, then choose Save as PDF. Check the saved file to make sure it contains the information you need.
Choose the kind of record you need

For a straightforward personal record, PDF is usually the most practical choice. Chrome’s documented desktop and Android print paths are linked in its desktop print and save help and Android print help.

Save a DigiLocker page as PDF on a computer
- Open the DigiLocker page you want to record in Chrome. If it is an account page, sign in and wait until the relevant information is visible.
- Open print preview: press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+P on Mac.
- In the destination selector, choose Save as PDF.
- Review the preview. Check that the relevant text and page sections appear, then save the PDF to a location you can find again.
- Open the saved PDF and verify its contents rather than assuming the preview captured everything.
Page layout and printing behavior can vary, especially on logged-in pages. The preview and saved-file checks are practical safeguards, not a guarantee that every DigiLocker page will print perfectly.
Save a DigiLocker page as PDF on Android
- Open the page in Chrome and wait for the information you need to appear.
- Tap More > Share > Print.
- In the print interface, choose Save as PDF, select where to store the file, and save it.
- Open the PDF and check that the needed information is present.
These steps apply to Chrome on Android; other mobile browsers may use different menus.

Save an offline webpage in desktop Chrome
- Open the DigiLocker page in Chrome.
- Select More > More tools > Save page as.
- Choose a destination and save the page.
This creates a webpage copy rather than a paginated PDF. It can be useful for offline browsing, but it is not the same kind of document as a PDF printout.
Keep a webpage capture separate from an issued document
DigiLocker describes itself as a platform for storing, sharing, and verifying documents and certificates. A PDF or screenshot of its website records how a page appeared; it is not the certificate itself. If you need to retain a certificate, use the relevant document-specific download or fetch option when available and keep that file separately. DigiLocker and the Government of India’s DigiLocker site and Digital India overview describe the service in terms of digital documents and their issuance or verification.

Common problems and fixes
- The PDF is missing text or sections: Return to the page, wait for the needed content to appear, print again, and inspect both preview and saved file.
- The page is spread awkwardly across pages: Review the print preview before saving. If the content does not make a readable printout, use a saved webpage for offline browsing or a screenshot for a visual record instead.
- You cannot find the file: When saving, choose a known folder or device location, then open that location to verify the saved file.
- You need to submit proof to an organization: Ask the recipient what format it accepts. A personal capture does not establish that the recipient will accept it in place of an issued document.
