How do I cancel an order before it ships?
Go to Profile → Your Orders, open the order, and use the cancellation option if it appears. TikTok Shop’s U.S. policy, dated August 28, 2026, distinguishes between shipping types:

- Seller Shipping: You may cancel without seller approval while the status is Pending if you request cancellation less than one hour after placing the order.
These are different conditions, not a general one-hour cancellation guarantee. If the cancellation control is missing, TikTok’s policy does not guarantee that the order can still be stopped. If it has not shipped, contact TikTok Shop Customer Service or message the seller through the order.
What if the order is an auction purchase?
Auction orders cannot be cancelled directly by the customer. Before shipment, contact TikTok Shop Customer Service or message the seller to ask; TikTok reviews the request, and cancellation is not guaranteed. See TikTok Shop’s U.S. cancellation policy.
How do I return an item?
- In TikTok, open Profile → Your Orders.
- Select the order, then select the item you want to return.
- Tap Request return or refund.
- Choose the reason and the return method offered, then follow the order-specific instructions.

Is the item eligible for a return or refund?
Standard U.S. return window

TikTok lists food, beverages and dietary supplements, customized products, pre-owned items, trading cards and collectibles, final-sale items, and virtual goods as excluded from returns for a change of mind. A damaged, defective, or not-as-described item may still qualify for a remedy even if its category is otherwise non-returnable; submit the issue through the order and check the available options.
Condition of the returned item

TikTok’s U.S. Money-Back Guarantee may cover eligible damaged or defective purchases for up to 90 days from the order’s Delivered status, including cases where the standard return window has closed. Where do I check my refund status?
Open the order and go to Return/Refund Details to see the request status. TikTok says most refunds are issued within 3–10 business days after the returned item is received and processed. That is the stated refund-issuance period; when the money appears in your bank or payment account can depend on the payment provider. TikTok Shop U.S. Return Policy.
Why was my return request rejected?
Open Return/Refund Details and review the rejection reason. If you disagree, TikTok says you can appeal to TikTok Shop Customer Service from the order details page. How do I cancel a return request?
Open the relevant order and look for the return or refund request controls in its details. The available actions can depend on the request’s current status. If you do not see a cancellation option, use Shop → Help and then Contact us to ask TikTok Shop Customer Service what can be done for that request.
