Start by checking which seller or platform holds your Pokémon Legends: Z-A order: Pokémon Center, Nintendo eShop, and other retailers use different cancellation rules. The game was released on October 16, 2025, so a preorder may now be processing, shipped, or otherwise past its cancellation window. Sign in to the account used to order, open the order details, and look for a cancel or edit option. If the order is already being processed or shipped, contact the seller promptly about any remaining delivery, return, or refund options. The policies below reflect the cited US-market support pages unless identified as UK guidance; elsewhere, check your local seller’s terms. The Pokémon Company announced the release date.
How to cancel a Pokémon Center preorder
Pokémon Center allows cancellation only before a preorder is processed. For an account order, sign in and open Order Details; if Cancel Preorder is available, select it and confirm. The order should then show Canceled, and Pokémon Center says it sends a confirmation email.

How to change a Pokémon Center preorder address
Pokémon Center does not change addresses on preorders. If the preorder has not been processed, its suggested option is to cancel it and place a new order with the correct address. A replacement order is not guaranteed to be available, so check availability before canceling if that matters to you.
Pokémon Center distinguishes preorders from ordinary placed orders: placed orders generally cannot be canceled or modified. If an item has shipped and could not be canceled, its FAQ says non-final-sale items may be returned within 30 days of delivery. That return window does not mean every item qualifies or that a return is the same as canceling a preorder. Review the retailer’s terms.

How to cancel a Nintendo eShop preorder
Nintendo says preorder payment is not processed earlier than seven days before release. Cancellation is available before payment is processed and the game is preloaded, up to seven days before release. Its steps below are for North American support.

- Open Nintendo eShop using the Nintendo Account that placed the order.
- Select the user icon, then Account Information.
- Scroll to Your Pre-Orders, find the game, and choose Cancel.
In a web browser
- Sign in at accounts.nintendo.com with the Nintendo Account that placed the order.
- Open Purchase History, then select View pre-orders.
- Choose Cancel beside the game.
If the cancellation option does not work, Nintendo advises contacting support. A failed payment, such as one caused by insufficient funds or an expired card, can also cancel a preorder; Nintendo says the game can still be purchased after release. Nintendo’s preorder FAQ explains the cutoff, and its cancellation instructions give the account steps.

How cancellation works at other retailers
For retailer orders, the cancellation button and eligibility depend on the seller, order stage, delivery method, and sometimes how close the order is to release. Check the order page first; do not assume another retailer’s deadline applies.
Best Buy
Best Buy says a preorder placed five or more days before release can be canceled at any time while it remains a preorder. If placed fewer than five days before release, the remaining window depends on shipping method. Best Buy says digital content, including game downloads, cannot be canceled. GameStop
GameStop says cancellation depends on how the preorder was placed and how close it is to release; it does not give one deadline or process for every order. For an in-store reservation, its help result directs customers to contact Customer Service or the store where the reservation was placed. GameStop help.
Walmart
Go to Account → Purchase history, open the order, and choose Request Cancellation if that option appears. Walmart says most pickup, delivery, and shipping orders can be edited or cancellation requested before processing, but choices can disappear once an order is on its way.
