For a booking made through Poland’s Central e-registration (Centralna e-rejestracja, CeR), use your Internetowe Konto Pacjenta (IKP), the mojeIKP app, or contact the clinic. Whether you can change the appointment online depends on its type: supported first specialist visits and screening bookings have an online change route, but follow-up specialist appointments and some other cases require the clinic.

IKP and mojeIKP show bookings only for providers participating in CeR and covered service categories. The system is being introduced in phases: Ministry information as of 4 October 2026 says the first phase includes cardiology and breast and cervical cancer screening, while the second phase began adding eight specialist areas in August 2026. Availability can therefore depend on the service and provider.

How to change a supported first specialist appointment
- Sign in to IKP or open mojeIKP, then find the booking under Zaplanowane wizyty (“Planned visits”).
- Open the appointment and change the search criteria as needed.
- Select an available time and book it using the same referral.
The official patient guidance says this change can be made at any time. If the offered times do not suit you, a waiting room may be available. This online route is for supported first specialist bookings; it is not a general way to reschedule every appointment.

The official patient portal says to cancel as soon as you know you cannot attend, and states that cancellation is possible even on the day before the appointment. You can use any of these documented routes:

- IKP or mojeIKP: Find the appointment in Zaplanowane wizyty and use its cancellation option.
- SMS reminder: Reply with the two-character code included in the reminder.
- Clinic: Call the medical facility.
For a screening appointment, cancel the existing booking and make a new booking for the replacement date rather than treating it as a direct date change.
What changes if you cancel a first visit or a follow-up?
First specialist visit
After you cancel or change a first specialist visit, the system automatically places you in the waiting room if necessary and retains the time you have already spent waiting. If you simply miss the visit without cancelling it, you are sent to the end of the queue.

Follow-up specialist visit
A follow-up visit continues treatment, so cancellation does not provide an online replacement booking route. Contact the clinic to arrange the next visit. The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) states that a cancelled continuing-treatment appointment can be booked again only at the medical facility.

Check the referral after cancelling
After cancelling, check the referral status in IKP or mojeIKP. If it still appears as “registered,” contact the clinic and ask it to correct the record. An unreleased referral can prevent you from making another booking.

Reminders and the Anna voice assistant
The patient portal describes confirmations and reminders by SMS, app notification and email. A patient who booked through a clinic and does not use a smartphone may receive a reminder call from the Ministry’s virtual assistant, Anna, seven days and one day before the visit; the call may offer cancellation. The Ministry says Anna calls from 116 117 and will not ask for your PESEL, identity-document details or payment.

- Your appointment is a follow-up visit and you need to arrange continuing care.
- Your referral is on paper, or your appointment involves a special entitlement or a post-hospital arrangement.
- The booking does not appear in IKP/mojeIKP, or the online options do not let you complete the change or cancellation.
- Your referral remains marked “registered” after cancellation.
The online account covers only CeR-participating providers and supported services. If the clinic made the booking or it falls outside those categories, the clinic is the practical route for resolving it.
