To stop an Amazon-billed Amazon Music Unlimited subscription from renewing, open Your Amazon Music Settings, find the Unlimited section, choose Cancel under Subscription Renewal, and confirm. If Apple or another company bills you, cancel through that provider instead. First check whether your access is Unlimited or music included with Prime: they are different services with different cancellation consequences.
Check which Amazon Music service you have
Before canceling, look at the plan shown in your Amazon account or billing record. Amazon lists separate cancellation topics for Music Unlimited and Music Standard, and treats Prime-included music separately. The steps below apply to an Amazon-billed Unlimited subscription; the available official guidance does not establish the current detailed cancellation screens for Standard or for Prime membership.

- Amazon Music Unlimited: A separate subscription. Canceling it stops that subscription from renewing.
- Amazon Music Standard: A distinct plan with its own cancellation topic in Amazon’s help index. Follow the options shown for your account.
- Amazon Music Prime: Music access included with Prime at no additional cost, rather than a separate Unlimited subscription. If you are considering ending Prime, check the effects on your other Prime benefits as well.

Check the subscription details in your account or the billing record to identify the company taking payment. The billing provider determines where cancellation must happen.

- Amazon bills you: Use Amazon Music Settings for an Unlimited subscription.
- Apple iTunes bills you: Manage or cancel the subscription through Apple’s subscription controls. Amazon says it cannot cancel or manage subscriptions purchased through Apple.
- Another company bills you: Follow that provider’s cancellation process. Amazon warns that a subscription started through a third party may need to be canceled with that provider.
Amazon’s FAQ says: “Amazon cannot cancel, manage, update payment methods, or offer refunds for subscriptions purchased through Apple.” See the Amazon Music FAQ.
Cancel an Amazon-billed Music Unlimited subscription
- Go to Your Amazon Music Settings and sign in to the account associated with the subscription.
- Find the Amazon Music Unlimited section.
- Under Subscription Renewal details, select Cancel.
- Follow the on-screen prompts and confirm the cancellation.
- Return to the account details and check the cancellation status and end date shown there.
Amazon’s published cancellation instructions are on its UK About Amazon page; its settings help identifies Your Amazon Music Settings as the place to manage an Unlimited subscription. Labels and screens can vary by account or region, so use the confirmation prompts displayed for your subscription.

What to expect after cancellation
Do not assume cancellation means an immediate loss of access or a refund. Amazon says an Apple-billed subscription remains available until the end of its current billing cycle after cancellation. Check the end date and status shown by the provider that bills you; the timing and any refund depend on your account and provider.

If the cancellation option is missing
- Verify that you are signed into the Amazon account associated with the charge.
- Recheck the plan type: Prime-included music is not a separate Unlimited subscription, and Standard has a separate help topic.
- Check the billing record to see whether Apple or another third party manages the subscription.
- Use the billing provider’s cancellation instructions, then confirm the resulting status and end date with that provider.
