To cancel a Norton subscription bought directly from Norton, sign in to your Norton account and go to My Account → My Subscriptions. Choose Cancel Renewal or Manage Subscriptions for the plan, then complete the prompts and confirm the request. If an app store or another company bills you, cancel through that seller instead.
First, identify who bills the subscription
The cancellation route depends on where you bought the plan. Check your purchase confirmation or billing statement if you are unsure. The same seller is generally the right place to ask about a refund.

Cancel a subscription purchased directly from Norton
- Sign in to your Norton account and open My Account → My Subscriptions.
- Find the subscription you want to stop renewing. Select Cancel Renewal or Manage Subscriptions.
- Follow the on-screen prompts through to the end. Norton may show retention offers; continue the cancellation flow and confirm the request.
- Look for an on-screen confirmation. Norton says the change can take up to 24 hours to appear in your account, and its policy allows 24–48 hours for the confirmation email to arrive. If you do not see confirmation, check the subscription status in your account or contact Norton before the billing date. Norton’s renewal instructions and refund policy describe these timings.
Submit the cancellation before the billing date to avoid the next renewal charge. For annual subscriptions, Norton says it sends a pre-billing email with the renewal price and date; check that notice and your account for the date that applies to your plan. If you subscribed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store, manage or cancel the subscription in the store where you made the purchase. Deleting the Norton app does not stop billing. If a trial converts to a paid annual subscription, cancel it through the store before the trial ends to avoid the charge. Norton’s app-store subscription guidance identifies these billing routes.

Cancel a provider-billed or reseller subscription
If an internet provider, telecom company, retailer, or other reseller bills you, contact that company to cancel. Norton says third-party billing can have different cancellation and refund terms, and it cannot issue refunds for subscriptions billed through partner companies such as internet service providers and telecom companies. Ask the billing company about both cancellation and any refund. Norton’s refund policy and regional cancellation guidance explain the distinction.
What happens after you turn off renewal?
Stopping automatic renewal generally prevents future renewal billing; it does not immediately end the paid subscription or automatically refund a payment. Norton says the subscription continues through the end of the already-paid term. Some benefits associated with automatic renewal may end when renewal is stopped. Norton’s renewal guidance describes access through the paid term.

How Norton refunds work
Cancellation and a refund are separate actions. If you want money back after a charge, submit a separate request and check the policy for your purchase channel, country, and subscription type. Norton’s general policy for direct purchases gives these request windows:

These are policy windows for eligible direct Norton purchases, not a guarantee that every purchase qualifies. The United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands have additional terms, including certain prorated refunds after the 60-day period for subsequent annual charges, subject to conditions.
