How to Build a Linktree, Beacons & Bio Email Scraper with Apify

Apify’s community bio-link scraper accepts profile URLs and offers profile-only or smart-follow extraction. Here are its stated limits, API flow, and responsible-use considerations.

Apify’s current community Actors offer a way to extract contact details from bio-link profile URLs, but the available evidence does not verify the original author’s code or build. This walkthrough explains what a currently listed Actor says it can do, how Apify documents invoking it through the API, and what its limits mean in practice.

What this Apify scraper does—and what it doesn’t

The community-maintained Bio Link Email Scraper listing says it accepts supplied profile URLs for Linktree, Beacons, Bio.link, Stan Store, and Link.me, then extracts email addresses it can find. The listing describes two modes: profile-only, which reads the profile page, and smart-follow, which follows contact or website links while skipping social-media links. These are the Actor creator’s product claims, not independently measured results.

This is URL-based extraction, not creator discovery. You provide the profiles to inspect; the listing does not describe searching for creators by keyword. Nor should “email extraction” be read as a guarantee of hidden contact discovery: the listing describes following links from a profile, not bypassing access controls. Email-format validation can flag strings that look like addresses, but it does not establish that an address is deliverable, current, or associated with the profile owner.

What the listed Actor accepts and returns

According to its Store listing, the Actor accepts a urls array of up to four URLs per run. It offers simple and rich output formats:

Output Fields described in the listing
Simple Username, platform, emails, and source URL.
Rich The simple fields plus additional profile fields and email sources.

The listing displayed a price of “from $10.00 / 1,000 results” when inspected on October 4, 2026. That is a changeable Store price, not a fixed cost estimate; check the listing before running the Actor. Actual charges may depend on the current product pricing and your Apify usage.

Run the Actor through Apify’s API

Apify’s documentation for this Actor describes starting a run by sending input to the Actor’s run endpoint, waiting for completion, and then reading its default dataset. You need an Apify account and API token. Use the exact Actor identifier and endpoint shown in its current API documentation; the request shape is:

POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/ACTOR_ID/runs?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "urls": [
    "https://linktr.ee/example",
    "https://beacons.ai/example"
  ],
  "mode": "profile-only"
}

ACTOR_ID and the accepted input fields must match the current Actor documentation and input schema; the example illustrates the documented flow, not a tested request. Do not publish or commit your API token. After the run completes, retrieve the default dataset using the dataset ID returned in the run response, following the documented API flow. Choose the output format that fits the next step in your process, and inspect the returned source fields before using any contact data.

How a separate bio-link Actor differs

Apify Store Actors are separate community products, so one listing’s capabilities should not be attributed to another. The parsebird/biolink-scraper listing says it accepts profile URLs or a username and platform, but does not offer keyword discovery. It says it skips private, deleted, or password-locked profiles and captures email or phone only when the information is displayed on the page; it does not claim third-party enrichment or guessed contact details.

That alternate listing also qualifies its Beacons support: it says its output includes identity, social links, and one featured link, while the multi-link button list is not publicly reachable without logging in as the page owner. This is a claim about that Actor’s approach, not a universal statement about Beacons or a limitation established for the email scraper above. The listings do not provide independent comparisons of accuracy, speed, coverage, or reliability.

Responsible use and practical limits

Apify’s Actor Terms, effective July 9, 2026, state in section 2.2 that users may use Actors “solely for legitimate purposes” and must follow Apify’s Actor Terms, General Terms, the respective creator’s terms, and applicable laws and regulations. Apify’s General Terms identify the Actor Terms and Acceptable Use Policy among the documents governing service use.

Those terms do not determine whether a particular collection or outreach campaign is lawful or compliant. Before processing profile data, review the current Actor terms, the relevant source-platform rules, and the requirements that apply to your handling of contact information and any subsequent outreach. Publicly visible information is not automatically permission for every use.
