On Android, block ads in Samsung Internet by installing a compatible blocker from Tools > Ad blockers and making sure its switch is on. Tracker protection is separate: Samsung’s built-in Smart Anti-tracking helps limit tracking, while the Privacy dashboard shows the browser’s reported blocked content and related settings.
Install an ad blocker on Android
Samsung Internet uses compatible third-party blocker apps for ad blocking. Install one from inside the browser so it can integrate with Samsung Internet. Samsung’s current US support instructions call the browser Samsung Browser; menu labels can vary by version, so follow the labels shown on your device.

Open Samsung Internet.

Tap the Tools icon, shown as three vertical dots.

Tap Ad blockers.

Choose a blocker in the list and tap its install control. Samsung says a newly installed blocker turns on automatically and appears in the Installed list.

Check that the switch beside the blocker is on. Use that switch to turn it off if needed.

Older Samsung documentation uses Extensions > Content blockers instead. If the current path is not shown, look for the equivalent content-blocking option in your version’s browser settings. Samsung’s current US support instructions describe the Tools menu.
How many blockers should you enable?
Samsung’s developer guide supports enabling up to five ad-blocking apps simultaneously, but that is a technical maximum, not a recommendation to stack them. The browser obtains filter data from registered apps and applies it while rendering pages; the guide says the filter format follows Adblock Plus filter format. If you want to compare choices, start with blockers offered in Samsung Internet’s own list on your device. Check each app’s store listing for what it blocks, its price, and whether it is actively supported; Samsung notes that some blockers are free and others cost money. The sources do not establish a current best blocker or comparative performance ranking.

Check built-in tracker protection
Smart Anti-tracking is a separate, built-in Samsung Internet feature. Samsung says it is on by default and helps block cookies and third parties attempting to track personal information, including cross-site trackers that try to evade blocking. It does not replace installing a compatible third-party blocker for ad blocking on Android. See Samsung’s explanation of Smart Anti-tracking.

To inspect browser privacy information, open Tools > Privacy. Samsung says the dashboard reports the amount of blocked content, including trackers and ads, and offers customizable settings. Swipe up in the dashboard to find further options, including warnings about malicious sites and blocking automatic downloads. See Samsung’s Privacy dashboard instructions.

The dashboard’s figures are Samsung Internet’s reported blocked-content activity, not proof that every ad or tracker on a site was detected. Samsung’s support page describes the displayed counts but does not claim they comprehensively measure all advertising or tracking.
Fix a site that stops working
A blocker can affect page elements or loading. Samsung’s content-blocker documentation describes a View without content blocker option and the ability to turn blockers off in settings. If a page looks broken, use the page option if it is available, or switch the blocker off, reload, and compare the result. Menu wording and behavior can depend on the browser version and blocker. Device and platform differences

Samsung’s developer documentation says the blocker integration is supported on Android devices running Samsung Internet 4.0 or later. Galaxy devices can get pre-registered blockers through Galaxy Store; non-Galaxy Android devices use Google Play. Some non-Galaxy devices without Google Play services may not have the feature available.

Samsung’s current US consumer instructions target Galaxy phones and tablets. On a Galaxy device, begin with the in-browser menu and use the labels your installed version displays.

Samsung says its PC browser supports content blockers and built-in Smart Anti-tracking, but the Android menu path above is not confirmed for PC. On Android, Smart Anti-tracking is built in while ad blocking requires a compatible third-party app. See Samsung’s product FAQ.
