Zoho Catalyst SmartBrowz can generate the screenshot from the row’s URL through an authenticated API request. However, generating an image is not the same as saving it or writing a link back to the sheet: validate how your Zoho account will make the authenticated request and store the returned image before treating this as a complete no-code flow.
How the workflow fits together
The documented architecture has four parts: a Google Sheet supplies a URL, Zoho Flow starts the automation when a row is added, Catalyst SmartBrowz generates a screenshot, and a storage step saves the image so Flow can update the row with its link and a status.

- Add a row containing a webpage URL to the selected worksheet.
- Use the Google Sheets Row added trigger in Zoho Flow.
- Pass the row’s URL to Catalyst SmartBrowz using its project-specific screenshot API.
- Save the returned image somewhere accessible, then update the row with the saved image link and a completion or error status.
The trigger and screenshot API are documented. The exact Flow action or intermediary that sends the authenticated request and persists its binary response is not established by the available product documentation. Confirm that implementation in your account before relying on the end-to-end automation.

Prepare Google Sheets and connect it to Flow
- Create a header row in row one. Keep the column labels contiguous, with no blank columns between them, and do not use merged cells. Zoho warns that gaps can prevent later column names from being fetched and that merged cells are unsupported.
- Include a column for the page URL and columns for the screenshot link and workflow status if you intend to write results back to the sheet.
- In Zoho Flow, configure the current Google Sheets connection using the spreadsheet ID. After Zoho’s documented integration update, reconnect or reconfigure the app as directed in its setup guide; legacy options such as Row added (Old version) are no longer supported.
- Authorize the Google account and select the spreadsheet and worksheet for the flow.
- Choose the supported Row added trigger. Zoho describes it as firing when a new row is added at the bottom of the selected worksheet.
Zoho’s India-facing Google Sheets integration page lists the row-added trigger and sheet actions including creating, updating, and fetching rows. Those sheet actions do not, by themselves, make the screenshot API request.

Generate a screenshot with Catalyst SmartBrowz
Catalyst SmartBrowz documents a project-specific POST endpoint in this form: {api-domain}/browser360/v1/project/{project_id}/convert. The request uses OAuth authorization with the ZohoCatalyst.pdfshot.EXECUTE scope. Its documented example includes an Authorization: Zoho-oauthtoken … header and Content-Type: application/json. The request body supplies a URL and screenshot options; the API returns the generated screenshot.
Use the project ID and API domain associated with your Catalyst project, and follow the current SmartBrowz screenshot API documentation for the request schema and response handling. The documented options include output type, screenshot type and quality, full-page capture and clipping, viewport, JavaScript settings, navigation timeout, and wait behavior. Choose options based on what the target page needs rather than assuming one configuration works for every site.
In Flow, map the URL field from the newly added row into the request. Before building the remaining steps, verify that your available Flow action, custom function, or intermediary can both make the authenticated POST and handle the response as image data. A response containing a screenshot does not automatically create a Drive file or a link in Google Sheets.

After screenshot generation, add a storage step that accepts the returned image data and provides a durable link or other reference usable by your workflow. Then use the Google Sheets update-row action to write that reference and a completion status to the matching row. Add an error status path for failures where your chosen implementation supports it.
The exact binary-to-file storage action and the mapping needed to identify and update the original row depend on the connectors and implementation available in your Zoho account. Test those account-specific steps with a single row before enabling the flow for routine use. Do not assume that a screenshot API response is already a hosted image URL.
Use a different trigger for edits to existing rows

The standard Row added trigger is not documented as detecting edits. For an edit-based workflow, Zoho’s Google Sheets and Flow webhook tutorial describes using an Apps Script trigger to send changed-row data to the generated Flow webhook URL; those values can then be used by later Flow actions.

Check permissions and test the flow
- Capture only pages you are permitted to access and process. Catalyst cautions that browser automation or scraping is at the user’s risk and recommends operating on permitted domains or with proper approval.
- Confirm that OAuth authorization uses the documented
ZohoCatalyst.pdfshot.EXECUTEscope and that the request targets the correct project and API domain. - Test a newly appended row and verify the trigger receives the expected URL field.
- Inspect the screenshot response and confirm your storage step can consume its actual response format.
- Check that the saved link is accessible to the intended users and that the update action writes to the correct row.
- Test failure handling as well as a successful capture; do not mark a row complete unless the image has been saved and its reference recorded.
Troubleshooting
The URL column is missing from Flow’s available fields
Check that its header is in row one, that no blank columns interrupt the header row, and that the sheet has no merged cells. Reconnect or reconfigure the current Google Sheets app using the spreadsheet ID; do not rely on a legacy trigger version.

The flow does not start after changing a row
Row added is for a row appended at the bottom of the worksheet, not an edit to an existing row. Use the Apps Script-to-webhook pattern if edits are meant to trigger the workflow.
The screenshot request is rejected
Check the project ID, API domain, OAuth token, required scope, authorization header, and JSON content type against the current Catalyst documentation. Also confirm that the URL and screenshot options follow the documented request schema.

The API returns an image but the sheet stays blank
The screenshot response is not automatically a stored file or a Sheets link. Confirm that a storage step accepts the response, returns a usable reference, and runs before the update-row action.
The wrong row is updated
Verify how your flow identifies the source row and that the update action uses that row’s identifier rather than a fixed row number. Test with distinct URLs and inspect the resulting row before using the flow more broadly.
