The encoder—not YouTube’s scheduling feature—controls the playlist order and repeat behavior. The PC, encoder, power and home internet must remain available while you stream.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled. YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours.
- A PC and encoder that can send a continuous RTMP or RTMPS feed and play the prerecorded videos in a playlist.
- The videos and any audio you have the right to broadcast.
- A reliable internet connection with enough sustained upload capacity for your chosen stream settings.
YouTube Studio supplies the stream connection details and hosts the live event. Your encoder supplies the actual audio and video. Scheduling a broadcast in Studio does not start, order or loop the PC’s media playlist. YouTube’s encoder setup guide documents the handoff between Studio and an encoder.

Set up the YouTube live stream
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create, then Go Live. If live streaming is not enabled for the channel, follow the activation prompts and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- In Live Control Room, create a stream or schedule one. For a scheduled event, review its title, description, privacy setting, audience setting and other metadata before publishing it.
- Open the stream’s encoder or stream settings in Studio and copy the server URL and stream key. Use RTMPS when the encoder offers it and YouTube’s connection details support it.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your broadcast; do not publish it or share screenshots that expose it.
A scheduled event gives viewers a planned watch-page experience, but the encoder still has to connect and send the feed for the broadcast to appear live. See YouTube’s overview of broadcasts and streams for the distinction.

Configure the PC encoder and playlist
- Choose an encoder that can play a sequence of local video files continuously and send that output to YouTube. In the encoder’s stream settings, select YouTube if it is supported, or enter the server URL and stream key copied from Studio.
- Add the videos in the order you want them to play. Set the encoder’s playlist or media source to repeat continuously if you want the sequence to loop. Playlist order, transitions and repeat settings belong to the encoder; YouTube’s setup instructions do not prescribe a universal loop configuration.
- Check that the encoder is sending the intended audio track and that the selected files use formats the encoder can play. Watch the encoder preview, if available, as the playlist advances.
- Choose a resolution and frame rate appropriate to the source material and the PC’s encoding capacity. Avoid selecting a higher output quality than the footage or computer can sustain.
Encoder interfaces and playlist controls vary, so follow the current manual for the software you choose rather than relying on menu names that may have changed. If you use OBS or another desktop encoder, verify its current playlist, repeat and restart behavior in that product’s documentation before leaving it unattended.

Choose settings based on measured JioFiber upload
Test upload speed at the PC’s actual location and at a time representative of the hours you expect to stream. A single speed-test peak is not proof that the connection will sustain an encoder bitrate continuously. Leave headroom, especially if other people or devices share the connection, and test with motion and audio similar to your real playlist.
YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate, monitoring stream health during the event and using RTMPS where available. The appropriate bitrate depends on resolution, frame rate, codec and how much motion is in the video; there is no one setting that is right for every JioFiber connection or every PC. Use YouTube’s encoder settings guidance to select a supported configuration, then validate it in a test stream.

Test the full schedule before leaving it running
- Start a private or unlisted test if that suits your channel and event setup.
- Confirm the correct Studio event receives the feed and that its preview shows the intended video and audio.
- Let the playlist advance through multiple items and confirm it repeats as configured, with no gaps, silent files or unexpected transitions.
- Watch YouTube’s stream-health indicators while the test runs. If they show a problem, reduce the encoder load or output settings and test again.
- Test the recovery steps you expect to rely on: close and reopen the encoder, then perform a planned PC restart and confirm you can reconnect to the intended event. Do not assume the encoder will restart or resume a stream automatically.
These checks apply YouTube’s advice to test with representative content and monitor stream health; they are operational precautions, not a guarantee against later network or power failures.

JioFiber service depends on your plan, location and equipment. Jio describes a home gateway/router, but its public materials do not establish your actual sustained upload speed or interruption rate. Check your own plan terms and measure at the streaming PC. If Wi-Fi is unstable, connecting the PC to the gateway by Ethernet can help rule out a weak local wireless link; it cannot prevent an ISP, router or power outage.

Do not generalize Jio’s marketing or plan figures to every subscriber. Its product page describes speeds up to 1 Gbps and symmetric upload and download in that page’s plan context, subject to availability and plan qualifications. The postpaid terms describe usage beyond 3300 GB in a billing cycle as potentially treated as misuse of the unlimited-data benefit; that wording is specific to those terms and is not a universal allowance for every JioFiber plan. Check your current account terms and Jio’s published service terms before relying on either figure.
YouTube Help says: “All streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived.” That is not a promise of an archive for a broadcast lasting 12 hours or longer. If you need recordings, plan shorter broadcast segments and check the current archive status in Studio. Continuous operation also depends on local power, the PC and router staying on; a UPS may help with brief power interruptions, but it does not protect against a broadband outage.

Common problems and what to check
- Studio shows no incoming video: Check that the encoder is running, the correct server URL and stream key are entered, and you started the intended scheduled event. Replace a potentially exposed or incorrect key in Studio if needed.
- The stream buffers or health degrades: Check sustained upload at the PC, other household traffic and encoder load. Lower the output bitrate or resolution, preserve headroom and run another representative test.
- The playlist stops at the end: Check the encoder’s repeat setting and whether the playlist itself is configured to loop. Studio scheduling does not loop files.
- Video plays but there is no sound: Check the files’ audio tracks, the encoder’s selected audio source and its audio meters, then confirm sound in the YouTube preview.
- The stream stops after a restart or connection interruption: Confirm the encoder has relaunched and reconnected to the correct event. Test startup and reconnection behavior in advance; do not assume the PC or encoder recovers unattended.
- The archive is missing for a long broadcast: YouTube’s automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours. For longer broadcasts, check Studio and use shorter segments if an archive is important.
