Outdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down

A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11Build a Make scenario that captures a webpage, passes the resulting image file to Google Drive, and runs on a schedule you choose. Make’s published template demonstrates the URL-list → screenshot → Drive workflow, with URLs and resulting image links stored in a Google Sheet. Start with one page, verify the file reaches the right folder, then activate the recurrence.
How the scheduled archive works
The scenario has three parts: a source URL, a screenshot action that returns usable file data, and Google Drive’s Upload a File action. The schedule is configured on the scenario itself, not inside either individual action.

Make publishes a template that reads URLs from a Google Sheet, takes screenshots after pages are fully loaded, uploads them to Google Drive, and writes image links back to the sheet. It is a practical starting point, but confirm that its current capture action and connection requirements suit your account and pages: the template description does not specify its exact capture endpoint, rendering details, or current pricing. Open Make’s screenshot-to-Drive template.

1. Decide what to capture
For a single page, use its URL as the input to the capture action. For a recurring set of pages, a Google Sheet can hold the URLs and, as in Make’s template, the links to the resulting screenshots. Decide whether the archive should capture the visible viewport or a full page if the selected capture action offers both.
#1 Best Overall
- Easily store and access 2TB to content on the go with the Seagate Portable Drive, a USB external hard drive
- Designed to work with Windows or Mac computers, this external hard drive makes backup a snap just drag and drop
- To get set up, connect the portable hard drive to a computer for automatic recognition no software required
- This USB drive provides plug and play simplicity with the included 18 inch USB 3.0 cable
- The available storage capacity may vary.
The template says captures happen once pages are fully loaded, but it does not document a specific wait rule or promise that dynamically loaded content will be present. Test the actual page—including content that appears after scrolling, interaction, or a delay—before relying on the archive.
2. Add a capture action and check its output
Use a screenshot action available to your Make account. The template lists Google Sheets, Cloudmersive, and Google Drive among its apps; confirm the currently available capture action and its connection, API-key, and plan requirements in Make. Before moving on, check that the action provides image file data that a later module can upload. If it supplies only a temporary URL, determine whether another step is needed to retrieve the image as file data.
3. Upload the screenshot to Drive
Add Google Drive’s Upload a File action. Set the destination folder and map both the filename and screenshot data from the capture step. Make’s Google Drive module documentation describes the destination and file fields.

- Use a filename that distinguishes repeated captures, such as
example-site-2026-10-04-14-30.webp. Include a timezone in your convention if the exact capture time matters. - Map the screenshot’s file data to the upload action’s data field; do not assume that a URL is interchangeable with file contents.
- For a Shared Drive, check that the Google Workspace account connected to Make can upload to the chosen folder. The documented Shared Drive options apply to Google Workspace users.
4. Choose a schedule and activate it
In Make’s Scenario Builder, open the scenario’s schedule setting and select a cadence. The documented choices include regular intervals, once, daily, weekdays, weekly, monthly, specified dates, and on-demand runs. Make says the default schedule is every 15 minutes, while the minimum interval depends on the plan; check the current options available to your plan rather than assuming a particular minimum. See Make’s scenario scheduling documentation.
Test before relying on the archive
- Run the scenario once with a page you can inspect.
- Open the resulting image and confirm that the important content is visible and legible.
- Check that the capture output mapped as file data into Google Drive’s upload action.
- Verify that the file is in the intended folder and has the expected filename.
- Only then activate the recurring schedule and check a later run.
For a list of URLs, test more than one representative page. A site with delayed or interactive content may behave differently from a static page, and the template does not establish a universal rendering guarantee.
Choose a capture action that fits the job
The official template establishes the overall workflow, not a provider-by-provider feature comparison. Before choosing a capture action, check these details in Make and in the provider’s documentation:

ScreenshotNeo is a screenshot API and MCP server for developers. It accepts a URL in one GET request and returns an image or PDF; you can use its returned file data in an automation that uploads to Drive. Its parameters are compatible with names used by other screenshot APIs, which can make switching easier.
With ScreenshotNeo, cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing. AI agents can take screenshots through its MCP server. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
For a Make scenario, store your API key securely and map the response body as image file data into Google Drive’s upload action. Confirm the response format and file mapping in your scenario before scheduling it.

Troubleshooting
The Drive upload receives no usable image
Check the capture module’s output and confirm that the upload action’s data field maps to file contents rather than a URL or unrelated field. If the capture step returns a temporary URL, add a retrieval step if required by that provider, then map the downloaded file data.
The screenshot is blank or misses content
Inspect the page in a browser and check whether it depends on delayed loading, scrolling, or interaction. The template does not document its precise wait behavior. Test the target page with the selected capture action and adjust its available wait or load settings before enabling recurring runs.
The file is missing from the intended folder
Verify the folder selected in Upload a File, the Google account connected to Make, and that account’s upload permission. For a Shared Drive, make sure the connected account is an eligible Google Workspace user with access to that location.

The scenario runs less often than expected
Review the schedule setting on the scenario and the minimum interval available under your Make plan. The documented default is every 15 minutes, but the minimum depends on plan; do not infer your allowed cadence from the default.
Only some pages in a URL list succeed
Run a failing URL by itself and inspect the capture output and upload mapping. Compare its loading behavior and file size with a page that worked, and check the provider’s documented execution and file limits. The official materials do not establish capture-success rates or universal limits across providers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I run the scenario only when I choose?
Yes. Make’s documented schedule options include on-demand runs.
Does Make’s template guarantee that dynamic page content will appear?
No. Its description says pages are screenshotted once fully loaded, but it does not specify dynamic-content or rendering guarantees. Test the pages and content that matter to your archive.
