For an offline copy that keeps a page’s images and formatting, capture the page’s loaded resources—not just its HTML—and verify the result in an archive viewer. ArchiveWeb.page records resources as you browse and lets you export WARC or WACZ files; ReplayWeb.page can replay web archives offline. Neither approach guarantees that every dynamic feature or resource you never loaded will be preserved.
Why a saved page can lose its images or styling
A webpage is assembled from multiple resources. Its HTML may refer to images, stylesheets, scripts, videos and data files hosted separately. Saving only the HTML can leave those references unavailable offline, so the page may appear unformatted or have missing images.

Interactive pages add another complication: content may load only after you scroll, click, or wait. An archive can record resources encountered during capture, but cannot reliably preserve a state or resource that was never loaded. Webrecorder describes ArchiveWeb.page as recording network traffic through Chrome’s debugging protocol; that is a capture method, not a guarantee that every page will replay perfectly. Choose the right way to save the page
Use a browser’s simple save for a quick, mostly static copy
A browser’s save-page feature may be sufficient for a straightforward page. Its controls and output can differ between browsers, and the available guidance here does not establish current menu steps for each one. If the saved copy is missing assets or the page depends on interaction, use an interactive archive instead.

Use an interactive archive when loaded resources matter
ArchiveWeb.page captures resources while you view and interact with a page. Its guide lists HTML, images, videos, stylesheets, scripts and data files among the resources it can capture. It exports WARC and WACZ; the guide recommends WACZ for sharing or transferring an archive collection, and describes it as containing WARC files and additional metadata. Use a crawler for an entire site, not a single page
Saving one page interactively is different from crawling a whole site. Webrecorder describes Browsertrix as a tool for automatically crawling entire sites; that is the more relevant category when your goal is a site-wide archive. Webrecorder’s ReplayWeb.page page

Browse the page while capture is active. Wait for visible images and styles to load. Scroll through the content and interact with relevant areas—such as menus, tabs or expandable sections—so their resources and states have a chance to load. Look for missing resources during offline replay. If something is absent, recapture after loading or interacting with that part of the page.

Keep a second copy of an important export. A USB flash drive can carry or back up WARC/WACZ files, but it does not capture the webpage.
