To hear incoming phone and FaceTime calls through your iPhone’s speaker, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing and select Speaker. This setting routes call audio; it does not make the iPhone answer calls. To have calls answered automatically as well, enable Auto-Answer Calls separately on the same screen and choose a delay.
Route calls to the iPhone speaker
- Open Settings.
- Tap Accessibility, then Touch.
- Tap Call Audio Routing.
- Select Speaker.
Apple documents this setting for phone and FaceTime calls. The other documented audio destinations are a Bluetooth headset and a hearing device. Apple’s iPhone User Guide: Route and automatically answer calls on iPhone

Choose whether calls should answer automatically
If you want the iPhone to answer calls after a delay, stay on the Call Audio Routing screen, tap Auto-Answer Calls, turn it on, and set the delay you want. This is independent of the audio destination: selecting Speaker does not turn on automatic answering.
- Speaker audio only: Select Speaker and leave Auto-Answer Calls off. You will still answer calls yourself.
- Speaker audio and automatic answering: Select Speaker, then enable Auto-Answer Calls and set its delay.
If the setting names or options look different
Menu labels can vary by iOS version and language. Apple’s guide documents the English-language path above, but does not specify a minimum iOS version, supported-model list, or regional availability. Its coverage is for phone and FaceTime calls; it does not establish that this setting controls calls in every third-party app.
