How do I add a pricing table in WordPress without coding? For a straightforward comparison, use WordPress’s built-in Table block. If you need plan cards, feature lists, styled call-to-action buttons, reusable tables, or shortcode placement, install a pricing-table block plugin instead. Build the table in the block editor, then preview it with your active theme at desktop and phone widths before publishing.

Choose the right no-code approach

Your choice depends on how much presentation and reuse your offers require.

Approach What it provides Questions to answer first
Native WordPress Table block Basic rows and columns, column alignment, and standard block settings. Wide and full-width alignment are available only when the active theme supports them. See the WordPress Table block documentation. Is a plain comparison table sufficient, and does your theme allow the width you want?
B Pricing Table Its WordPress.org listing describes a Gutenberg block, styling controls, feature icons, buttons, and responsive behavior, with additional controls separated into free and Pro features. See the B Pricing Table listing. Do the free controls cover your design, or do you need advanced styles and device settings?
Easy Pricing Tables Its listing describes Gutenberg blocks, reusable tables, shortcodes, and compatibility with page builders that support shortcodes, including Elementor. WooCommerce integration is described as premium. See the Easy Pricing Tables listing. Do you need the same table in several places, shortcode insertion, Elementor compatibility, or WooCommerce features?
Tabelio Price Table Its listing describes a Gutenberg block, an optional Elementor widget, shortcode support, and saved-table reuse. See the Tabelio Price Table listing. Would Elementor support or a shared saved table simplify your workflow? Check the current listing and compatibility details before installing.

These plugin capabilities are publisher-described features, not results from independent testing. Compare editor compatibility, reuse, mobile controls, visual customization, free-tier limits, update activity, support, theme fit, and your site’s actual preview. No source establishes that one of these plugins is universally best.

Create a basic table with WordPress’s native block

The native block is the simplest option because it requires no additional plugin.

  1. Open the destination page. In the WordPress admin, go to Pages (or Posts), open an existing page, or select Add New.
  2. Insert the block. Select the block inserter (+), search for Table, and insert it. Choose the starting number of columns and rows; you can add or remove them later.
  3. Set the comparison structure. Use the first row for plan names or headings. Add rows for price, billing period, key features, limits, and the action you want visitors to take.
  4. Enter parallel information. Keep the same categories in the same row across every plan. Write a clear button label such as “Start free trial” or “Choose Pro,” then link it to the correct destination.
  5. Format the block. Use the block toolbar and settings sidebar to align columns and adjust available table options. Select wide or full-width alignment only if your theme exposes and supports those settings.
  6. Preview before publishing. Use WordPress’s preview at desktop and phone widths. Check that headings, prices, feature text, and links remain understandable when columns narrow or wrap.

Use a dedicated pricing-table block when the table needs more design

A pricing-specific block can package common pricing elements—plan styling, feature lists, emphasis for a recommended tier, and call-to-action buttons—rather than making you construct them from separate blocks. Install only after confirming that its workflow and feature limits match your site.

Install and insert a plugin block

  1. Go to Plugins → Add New in the WordPress dashboard.
  2. Search for the pricing-table plugin you are evaluating, review its current WordPress.org description, compatibility information, changelog, support activity, and free-versus-premium feature split, then select Install Now.
  3. Select Activate and open the page where the table belongs.
  4. Open the block inserter, search for the plugin’s pricing-table block, and add it to the page.
  5. Follow the block’s own controls to create plans, add features, choose a highlighted plan, and configure buttons. The exact settings differ by plugin.

When shortcode or saved-table insertion matters

Easy Pricing Tables documents creating tables in its dashboard and inserting them with a shortcode; its listing says that shortcode can be used with Elementor and other page builders that support shortcodes. Tabelio’s listing also describes shortcode insertion and saved-table reuse. These workflows are useful when the same table must appear in multiple locations or when your page is built outside the standard editor. Confirm the current plugin instructions and compatibility before relying on them.

Write pricing information visitors can compare

Design cannot compensate for inconsistent offer details. For every plan, provide the same core fields:

  • Plan name: Use a distinct, recognizable label.
  • Price and billing period: State whether the amount is monthly, annual, one-time, or otherwise recurring. Explain taxes, usage limits, or introductory terms where they affect the decision.
  • Included features: Use parallel wording and mark unavailable features consistently rather than leaving unexplained blanks.
  • Limits and conditions: Include seats, storage, projects, support level, cancellation terms, or other restrictions that change the value of a plan.
  • Action: Give each plan a descriptive button label and verify that its link goes to the intended signup, checkout, contact, or trial page.

Make the table readable without custom CSS

Use the controls exposed by your chosen block or plugin to establish a clear hierarchy:

  • Reserve the strongest color or emphasis for one genuinely recommended plan, not every column.
  • Keep price text prominent while leaving billing-period text close enough to prevent ambiguity.
  • Use consistent typography, spacing, and capitalization across columns.
  • Ensure text and buttons have sufficient contrast against the table background.
  • Keep button labels specific; “Get started” is less informative than an action that identifies the plan or next step.
  • Limit each cell to scannable text. Move lengthy explanations below the table instead of creating very tall, hard-to-scan columns.

The native block exposes alignment and block settings, while plugin-specific color, typography, spacing, icon, and responsive controls vary. Do not assume a control shown in a plugin’s listing is included in its free version.

Test the rendered table on your site

  1. Preview with the active theme. Theme content widths, typography, and spacing can change how the same block appears.
  2. Check a phone-width view. Look for clipped columns, horizontal scrolling, awkward line breaks, tiny text, and buttons that are difficult to tap.
  3. Activate every important link. Confirm that buttons, links, and any “compare” interaction lead to the expected destination.
  4. Review the complete offer. Verify prices, billing periods, feature names, limits, and legal or cancellation language against the current offer.
  5. Check premium dependencies. If a design or responsive feature is marked Pro or premium, decide whether the table still works acceptably without it.

Plugin listings may claim responsive behavior, but those claims do not independently predict how a particular theme, page builder, or site configuration will render. Your published preview is the relevant check.

Which option should you use?

Choose the native Table block when you need a simple, one-off comparison and your theme provides an acceptable width. Evaluate a dedicated block when plan cards, feature icons, stronger button styling, device controls, or repeated placement justify an additional plugin. Before committing, compare the editor you use, free-tier limits, reuse method, mobile controls, support and update history, and the table’s behavior on your own site. A paid extension is not required to create a basic WordPress pricing table.
