Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesAdd the clock and prayer timetable as a transparent Browser Source in OBS, layered above your mantra video. Set the schedule for a clearly identified location and calculation convention, then verify it against the relevant local authority before streaming. OBS can display either a webpage or a local HTML file inside a scene, making it suitable for this kind of on-screen information layer (OBS Browser Source documentation).
Decide what the clock and schedule should represent
Before building the overlay, decide whose local time and prayer timetable viewers will see. Choose a city or coordinates, the relevant prayer-time calculation convention, and any minute adjustments specified by the local authority. The title alone does not identify a location or convention, so there is no single prayer schedule that applies to every mantra stream.

Prayer-time calculation services can return different results depending on the method and local adjustments. AlAdhan’s documentation describes several calculation methods and advises selecting the one used by the authority closest to your base; check the resulting timetable against the appropriate local source rather than treating an API response as universally authoritative (AlAdhan calculation methods).

Build the overlay in OBS
1. Create or obtain a transparent overlay page
Prepare an HTML page that shows the clock and daily prayer timetable on a transparent background. You can put both in one page, or use separate pages if you want to position or maintain them independently. A local page gives you control over the design and avoids relying on a hosted overlay page being reachable during the stream. A hosted page is easier to update remotely, but the Browser Source depends on that page and its connection being available.

For a clock alone, the OBS Forums community guide documents a local-file workflow: download a clock HTML file, add it as a Browser Source, enable Local file, choose the file, then adjust its dimensions and styling (OBS Forums time and date overlay guide). Check the page’s own instructions before using any downloaded file.
2. Add the Browser Source
- In OBS, open the scene containing your mantra video, or create the scene you intend to use.
- In the Sources panel, select + and add a Browser source.
- Choose whether to load a hosted URL or a local file. For a local HTML overlay, enable Local file and browse to the page.
- Set the source width and height to suit your stream canvas and the page design. OBS renders the source as web content in the scene; its Browser Source documentation notes that it can handle custom layouts, images, video, and audio tasks (OBS Browser Source).
- Place the Browser Source above the mantra video source in the Sources list. Resize and position it in the preview so it does not cover important content.
If clock and prayer times are separate sources, add each as its own Browser Source and position them independently. A combined page is simpler to place and keep visually consistent; separate pages can be easier to update or arrange differently.

3. Set and verify prayer-time data
Use a timetable published by the relevant local authority, or a calculation service configured for the chosen location and convention. AlAdhan’s Prayer Times API supports requests by coordinates, city and country, or address (AlAdhan Prayer Times API). Confirm that any city, country, coordinates, method, and minute adjustments match the intended audience or location represented on screen.
Compare the overlay’s displayed times with the relevant local timetable for the date you will broadcast. If they differ, investigate the selected method and any locally applied adjustments before presenting the times as local. Do not label a timetable simply “local” without identifying the place and convention it represents.

- PLUG IN AND HEAR SOUND IN SECONDS - USB Type-A connector with a 3.5mm stereo headphone output and a separate 3.5mm mono microphone input. No drivers, no software, no external power - the adapter is USB bus-powered and is recognized as a standard USB audio device.
- WORKS ON WINDOWS, MAC AND LINUX - Driverless on Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista/7/8, Linux and Mac OSX, and compliant with the USB Audio Device Class 1.0 specification, so any system that supports class-compliant USB audio will see it. Select it as the sound output and input device after plugging it in.
- TWO JACKS, TWO JOBS - The green jack is stereo OUT for headphones or powered speakers; the pink jack is mono microphone IN for a 3.5mm mic. It does NOT support 4-pole headsets on a single combo plug, it does NOT power passive speakers, and it does NOT add surround sound - it is a stereo 2-channel adapter.
- FOR LAPTOPS AND DESKTOPS THAT NEED AN AUDIO PORT BACK - Adds a headphone and mic port to a laptop, desktop, or mini PC whose onboard jack has failed or was never there. Managed and work-issued computers can block new USB audio devices by policy - check with your IT department before ordering for a company machine.
- SABRENT SUPPORT AND WARRANTY - What is in the box: one USB audio sound adapter. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty, extended to 2 years when you register within 90 days on the manufacturer's website.
4. Check readability and preview the complete scene
- Use a font size and contrast that remain legible over the video; place the text against a solid or translucent backing if the footage makes it hard to read.
- Check the overlay at the actual canvas dimensions and in the stream preview, not only in the HTML editor.
- Verify the clock’s displayed time zone and the timetable date. A clock set to a different time zone can make an otherwise accurate schedule misleading.
- Preview the full scene, including audio, before going live. The cited sources describe overlay rendering and timetable options, but do not establish an audio-mixing setup or guarantee continuous stream uptime.
Choose how to keep the mantra video playing
The clock and prayer schedule are scene overlays; they do not by themselves keep a broadcast running. For playback management, the 24/7 Playout project documents playlist and rundown playback as well as transparent browser overlays. Its documentation lists a Windows x64 release and recommends OBS Studio 32.x or compatible, so treat it as a platform-specific option rather than a general-purpose cross-platform solution (24/7 Playout Plugin for OBS). A basic OBS scene with an external process for monitoring and restarting is another approach, but the cited documentation does not establish a guaranteed 24/7 uptime method.

If your stream is a prerecorded mantra video and the destination is YouTube, StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. The setup is: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Create your clock-and-prayer overlay as part of the uploaded video if it needs to appear in the cloud playback; StreamNeo plays uploaded videos and does not go live from a camera.
