Choose the activation route that matches what you have

Activate through your My Kaspersky account
Android app
- Connect the device to the internet and open the Kaspersky app.
- Open Profile, then tap Buy or restore subscription.
- Choose I have a subscription.
- Sign in to the My Kaspersky account associated with the subscription.
- If the app offers an eligible subscription, select it. After activation, check the subscription information displayed in the app.
If no subscription appears, make sure you signed in to the account that holds it.
Windows boxed-product flow
Kaspersky’s documented boxed-product process allows you to add the activation code to My Kaspersky, open the subscription panel, and then download and install the application. If the code is already attached to your account, signing in on another device can retrieve the subscription; installation and use remain subject to the subscription’s terms.

Activate by entering an activation code
Android app
- Open the app and go to Profile → Buy or restore subscription.
- Tap I have a subscription, then choose Enter the activation code.
- Enter the code and continue through the app’s prompts.
- When activation succeeds, review the subscription information shown in the app.
The cited Android instructions describe the code as 20 letters and numerals in four groups, in the format xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx. For a boxed product or activation card, look on the box, in its documentation, or on the back of the card. Some Windows boxed-product instructions instead direct users to add the code in My Kaspersky before downloading and installing the app, so follow the instructions for your specific product.
When does the subscription period begin?
Kaspersky’s cited boxed-product instructions say the countdown begins when the application is first activated on a device; the cited Android instructions say the period begins when the code is first used on a device. These statements describe those products’ instructions, not a universal rule for every Kaspersky purchase. Check the terms supplied with your own subscription before relying on a start date.

Can you save a reserve code for renewal?
Kaspersky documents reserve-code support for some Windows versions. An eligible reserve code can be stored and used automatically when the current subscription expires. The cited support page lists exclusions, including some auto-renewing subscriptions, trial subscriptions, an already assigned reserve code, an expired subscription, and regional unavailability. Check your current subscription screen and product documentation to see whether this feature applies; it is not available for every product or account.

Troubleshoot activation problems
- Subscription not found: Sign in to the My Kaspersky account associated with the subscription, rather than a different account.
- Activation will not complete: For the cited Android flow, confirm that the device has an internet connection.
- Code rejected: Check the code’s printed location and format, and make sure you are entering it in the correct Kaspersky app. Confirm that the installed app version supports the subscription.
- Subscription or reserve code is incompatible: Kaspersky says its reserve-code checks include subscription expiration, device limits, and compatibility with the installed application. Consult the app’s current subscription screen and the terms for your product.
- Purchase route differs by region or device: The Android support page includes Google Play and Huawei-specific notes tied to its product and version context. Those notes do not establish current purchasing availability everywhere; check the instructions and options shown for your device and region.
