The Glorious GHS Wireless InfinitePlay is worth considering if uninterrupted wireless use matters more to you than active noise cancellation or the lightest possible headset. Its strongest feature is a clever battery system: two removable packs are rated for up to 85 hours each, while a built-in backup battery is designed to keep audio connected during a swap. That convenience is real in concept, but the 85-hour figure is Glorious’s rating, not a promise for every gaming setup or use pattern.
How the battery swap works
The headset includes two removable battery packs and a charging dock. One pack powers the headset while the other charges in the dock, which also acts as the 2.4 GHz connection hub. Glorious rates each pack for up to 85 hours and says a built-in Guardian Battery bridges the brief swap so audio and connection remain active. The product page calls the system “Swap. Don’t Stop.”; that is manufacturer language, not an independent guarantee of zero interruptions. Glorious’s product specifications describe the design.

Tom’s Hardware’s reviewer reported about three hours of backup runtime in their test, and said each pack took a few charge cycles to reach full capacity. The reviewer also found the rated pack life broadly plausible, depending on usage. That two-week experience is useful evidence, but it is not a controlled battery-life result for every user. Tom’s Hardware’s review gives the test context.
What this means in everyday use
- You can keep a charged spare in the dock and rotate packs instead of relying on a single long recharge.
- The battery bridge is intended to prevent the headset from disconnecting during the swap; it does not mean every platform, connection mode, or unusual swap will behave identically.
- Battery runtime varies with use, so treat “up to 85 hours” as a maximum manufacturer rating rather than a weekly charging schedule.
Will it work with your PC or console?
Connection options include 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, USB-C wired operation, and a 3.5 mm cable. Glorious lists PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, and mobile compatibility; TechRadar likewise lists PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Android, and iPhone. Compatibility does not mean every connection method or feature works the same way on every device. TechRadar’s review covers its stated platform list.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- PC: Use the 2.4 GHz dongle or dock for wireless play, Bluetooth where appropriate, or a wired connection. Glorious CORE for Windows 10 and 11 provides headset settings such as EQ.
- PlayStation: The product is listed for PS4 and PS5. Use a supported connection method for your console; do not assume PC software controls or every wireless feature are available on console.
- Switch and mobile: Bluetooth or a wired connection may be the more practical option, depending on the device and setup. The product listing’s broad compatibility claim does not specify identical feature support across these platforms.
- 3.5 mm devices: Glorious describes the 3.5 mm connection as all-platform compatibility, making the cable the broadest fallback when wireless support is uncertain.
How does it sound, and does it have noise cancellation?
The InfinitePlay has angled 40 mm drivers and a detachable omnidirectional microphone. Tom’s Hardware praised its sound, but its reviewer also observed sound leaking both into and out of the earcups. If you play in a quiet shared room or need to avoid disturbing others, that leakage is worth considering.
There is no active noise cancellation for the listener. Glorious’s microphone noise-cancellation feature concerns the voice pickup, not ANC that silences room noise for you. The detachable microphone can be removed when you do not need it; the headset also has no RGB lighting. The manufacturer’s product page lists the hardware and microphone details.

Is it comfortable, and are the controls easy to use?
Tom’s Hardware’s reviewer found the headset comfortable over a two-week test, reported no head pain, and described the cushions as breathable. Those are one reviewer’s observations, not a fit guarantee: head shape, glasses, and preferred clamp pressure can change how a headset feels over a long session.
The same reviewer warned that the tall earcup knobs can be bumped accidentally, particularly when the headset is hanging around the neck. If you often adjust a headset in that position, this small control-design issue may become more noticeable than it does during ordinary wear.

What can you change in the software?
Glorious CORE on Windows 10 and 11 supports settings including EQ. Tom’s Hardware reports that the software also offers sidetone, microphone gain, noise cancellation, and battery monitoring, along with five onboard profiles. The reviewer noted that microphone EQ and vocal effects are not included. These software options are PC-focused; Glorious’s published information does not establish that they can be configured directly from consoles or mobile devices.

It makes sense if
- You want to keep gaming wirelessly without waiting for a single battery to recharge.
- You value the included spare pack, charging dock, and battery-bridge design enough to accept a headset with no listener ANC.
- You use a supported PC or console and are comfortable choosing the connection method that fits that device.
Look elsewhere if
- Active noise cancellation for your own listening is a priority.
- You want more extensive microphone processing, such as microphone EQ or vocal effects.
- You are sensitive to sound leakage, accidental control bumps, or differences in headset fit and weight.
Tom’s Hardware names the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II as alternatives to consider. The relevant choice is not simply which headset has more features: weigh battery-swap continuity against ANC, microphone options, comfort, leakage, platform support, and current local pricing.
