OUPES is strongest as a value-focused option on paper, especially the MEGA 1: it pairs 1,024Wh of rated capacity, 2,000W continuous AC output and up to 800W solar input. Independent testing found it a strong value, but also recorded variable usable-energy results and a notable efficiency penalty with the AC port on. Compare the exact model’s current price and measured performance with your appliances—not just its headline watt-hours.
What OUPES offers across the MEGA range

| Model | Rated capacity | Continuous output | Maximum solar input | Expansion and weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MEGA 1 Lite | 1,024Wh | 2,000W | Not stated in OUPES’s 2026 guide | Expansion not listed |
| MEGA 1 | 1,024Wh | 2,000W | 800W | Up to 5,120Wh with two B2 batteries; weight not stated in OUPES’s 2026 guide |
| MEGA 2 | 2,048Wh | 2,500W | 2,100W | Up to 10.24kWh with four B2 batteries; 48.5 lb |
| MEGA 2 Pro | 2,048Wh | 2,500W | 1,000W | Expansion and weight not stated in OUPES’s 2026 guide |
| MEGA 3 | 3,072Wh | 3,600W | Not stated in OUPES’s 2026 guide | Up to 15.36kWh expansion; 83.3 lb |
The MEGA 2 doubles the MEGA 1’s capacity and increases its continuous output and maximum solar input, but it weighs 48.5 lb. OUPES lists the MEGA 3 at 83.3 lb, so the largest capacity option is less suited to frequent carrying.

How the MEGA 1 performed in independent testing
Outdoor Life reported 610Wh from the MEGA 1 in a 50W load test. In two dehumidifier runs, it reported 780Wh and 940Wh; recharge took 2.4 hours and 2.7 hours for those runs. The spread shows why rated capacity alone cannot predict usable energy under every load or setup.
Outdoor Life named the MEGA 1 its “Best Value” pick, while also saying it was “Not as efficient as other units I’ve tested” and that it “Loses a ton of power when the AC port is on.” The reviewer also noted that its AC charging port requires the supplied cable rather than an ordinary AC plug. These findings apply to the tested MEGA 1, not automatically to other OUPES models. Outdoor Life power-station comparison and test

SolarReviews named the MEGA 1 its “Best Affordable Solar Generator” in its 2025 roundup. Its team says it compares factors including output, capacity, price, weight, dimensions, inputs and outputs, and solar charging before testing individual units. That recognition supports OUPES’s value positioning; it does not establish that the brand outperforms every competitor. SolarReviews 2025 roundup

- [All-in-One Power] - 1024Wh LiFePO4 battery + 2000W AC output runs fridge, CPAP, and electronics.
- [Expandable System] - Add B2 battery later to reach 5120Wh total capacity.
- [Dual Charging] - Solar + AC simultaneous input for 2200W max charging speed.
- [Smart Monitoring] - Track solar input and battery status via WiFi/Bluetooth app.
| Model | Weight | Maximum solar input | Rated cycles |
|---|---|---|---|
| OUPES MEGA 1 | 27.8 lb | 800W | 3,500 |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 | 28.5 lb | 600W | 3,000 |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus | 32 lb | 800W | 4,000 |
| EcoFlow Delta 3 | 27.6 lb | 1,000W | 4,000 |
On these listed figures, the MEGA 1 is close to the competitors in weight and matches the Jackery’s solar-input ceiling, while exceeding the Anker’s listed solar input and cycle rating. The EcoFlow lists the highest solar input and cycle count in this group. Those comparisons do not settle which station is best: price, warranty, exact variants, measured efficiency and usable energy also matter. Outdoor Life comparison
What the price evidence says—and does not say
Price snapshots vary by page and timing. Outdoor Life’s 2026 comparison page listed the MEGA 1 at a $699 list price, a $439 observed sale price and a $520 recent observed price. A separate comparison page listed both the MEGA 1 and MEGA 2 at $699. For an apples-to-apples value check, divide the current price by rated watt-hours, then compare stations in a similar capacity class. Treat that figure as a starting point, not a performance verdict: the MEGA 1’s independent test results varied by load, and usable energy and efficiency can matter more than rated capacity alone. Which OUPES model is the best value?
The MEGA 1 is the clearest value candidate when its current price is competitive and its 1,024Wh capacity and 2,000W continuous output suit the loads you need to run. Independent Outdoor Life and SolarReviews picks reinforce that positioning, but Outdoor Life’s AC-on efficiency caveat means the cheapest price per rated watt-hour should not be your only test.
Best Value
- Essential Home Backup: The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus delivers 3600W output (7200W in parallel) to run pumps, heaters, and dryers with ease. It also supports charging via AC in 2.5 hours, solar in 4 hours, or a gas generator in 2.5 hours —delivering a full day of quiet, clean energy.
- Ultra-Portable & Lightweight: The Jackery HomePower 3600 Plus, the lightest 3.6kWh LFP power station, boasts automotive-grade CTB tech and is 34% smaller and 29.3% lighter than other models. Its luggage-style design with wheels and a telescopic handle allows effortless rolling from kitchen to garage or beyond.
Choose the MEGA 2 when you need twice the rated capacity, higher continuous output and its larger solar-input ceiling, and can accommodate a 48.5 lb unit. The MEGA 1 Lite shares the listed capacity and continuous output of the MEGA 1, but OUPES does not list expansion for the Lite in its guide. Compare the exact configuration rather than assuming similarly named models have identical features.
Which OUPES model suits a refrigerator?
Start with the refrigerator’s running draw, startup surge and the hours you need it to operate. Watt-hours indicate stored energy; continuous output determines what the station can run, while surge capability matters when a motor starts. A station may have enough rated capacity for a desired runtime but still fail to start a load whose surge exceeds its output rating. The cited OUPES guide lists continuous output but does not establish refrigerator runtime for a particular appliance, so use the refrigerator’s nameplate or measured consumption and leave room for conversion losses.
How to compare solar charging and real-world portability
- Check the electrical match: maximum solar input is only useful if your panel array’s voltage, current and connectors are compatible with the station.
- Account for sunlight: available solar power changes with location, time, season, terrain and weather, as OUPES notes. A maximum input rating is not a promise that panels will continuously deliver that power. OUPES solar and MEGA-series guide
- Compare what you carry: the MEGA 1 is listed at 27.8 lb by Outdoor Life, while OUPES lists MEGA 2 at 48.5 lb and MEGA 3 at 83.3 lb. Higher capacity comes with a meaningful portability trade-off.
- Include ownership factors: compare compatible expansion batteries, warranty terms, seller support and service availability alongside price and rated cycle life.
The available independent test evidence here covers the MEGA 1, not every current OUPES model or a controlled test against every competing brand. Use its results as a useful data point, not a prediction for another model, load or setup.
