Search for music by game, song, series or character; browse Nintendo-curated collections; or make playlists from available tracks. The app also supports offline downloads and a play-history-based My Mix feature, which the browser does not.
What you need to use Nintendo Music
You need a Nintendo Account and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. Nintendo includes the service with membership at no additional cost. You do not need a Nintendo Switch console: Nintendo says members can use the service on a compatible smart device or computer browser. Availability and compatible-device requirements vary by region, and internet access is required for streaming. Data charges may apply. Check Nintendo’s current service page for regional and device details.

How to find a soundtrack or song
Start with a game soundtrack when you know which title you want, or search using a song, series or character. You can also browse soundtrack groupings and themed discovery collections rather than searching for a specific track. Nintendo describes the collection as growing, so what is available can change over time.

Once you open a soundtrack, browse its tracks and add available music to a playlist. Nintendo’s shared Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics “All tracks” playlist illustrates how music can be organized around a specific game; accessing Nintendo Music still requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

What the catalog includes—and how its size changes
Nintendo of Canada’s current service page describes the computer browser library as containing over 250 hours of music across more than 130 titles. That is a Canadian-page snapshot, accessed October 5, 2026, not a fixed catalog guarantee: Nintendo says more soundtracks are added over time. The launch announcement’s description of music spanning “nearly 40 years of Nintendo history” was launch framing from October 31, 2024, not a current count of titles or hours.

Nintendo-curated playlists
Nintendo-made collections group music around themes and listening situations. They are a way to discover tracks without first knowing a game or song title.

Your own playlists
You can create personal playlists from music available in Nintendo Music, making it easier to gather selected tracks. Nintendo’s official shared playlist page is an example of a game-specific “All tracks” collection, though it does not establish that every soundtrack has a shared playlist.
My Mix and recommendations
Nintendo describes recommendations based on Nintendo Switch Play Activity. My Mix generates a playlist based on play history, so its contents depend on that history rather than only on a manually selected list. Nintendo explicitly says My Mix is not available in the web browser.

App and computer browser differences
Nintendo Music is available in a smart-device app and, in supported regions, a computer browser player. The browser is intended for computers, not phones or tablets; Nintendo UK says the web player cannot be used from a smart device. The app and browser do not expose every feature in the same way.

Offline listening, extended tracks and spoiler prevention
Downloading for offline listening
The app can download tracks for offline listening. Nintendo’s October 31, 2024 launch announcement states that users can stream songs in the app or download them to the app for offline listening. Do not assume browser playback can be downloaded: Nintendo describes offline listening as an app feature.
Extending selected tracks
Some tracks can be set to play for longer. Nintendo of Canada lists 5-, 10-, 15-, 30- and 60-minute options, while Nintendo UK describes selected tracks as extendable for up to an hour. This is track-dependent, not a setting available for every song.
Hiding potential spoilers
Spoiler prevention can hide soundtracks that might reveal game moments. This is useful if you are playing a story-driven game and want to avoid seeing music associated with later events; Nintendo’s feature descriptions do not establish that every potentially revealing track is identified in the same way.
Listening in the car
Nintendo supports listening through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with voice control. Nintendo cautions against using a touchscreen while driving; set up playback before you start and use supported voice controls when needed. See Nintendo’s service information for compatibility details.
