Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallThere is no single cloud-encoder price for a 4K prerecorded YouTube stream. Your total depends on how many hours it runs, the cloud region and service, the output codec and frame rate, and whether the source can be passed through or must be transcoded. For a self-managed cloud VM, estimate compute time plus applicable internet egress, storage, and software. Managed encoders may charge separately for running inputs, outputs, and add-ons.
What a cloud-encoder estimate should include
Keep the estimate to the work required to send the stream to YouTube: encoding or VM runtime, transfer from your cloud provider to YouTube where billed, and any storage or paid software you need. YouTube receives the live feed and handles playback transcoding for its platform. You do not need to add viewer-facing CDN delivery unless your design separately serves viewers through your own distribution system.

AWS’s published live-streaming examples include a larger architecture with packaging and viewer distribution. They are not prices for encoding one prerecorded feed and sending it to YouTube.
Estimate network transfer from the 4K settings
YouTube Help recommends these live ingest bitrates for 2160p, or 4K, streams. The hourly data volumes below are arithmetic derived from those bitrate targets, in decimal gigabytes, before protocol overhead; they are not cloud-provider prices.

| Codec | Frame rate | YouTube recommended bitrate | Approximate transfer per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| AV1 or H.265/HEVC | 4K30 | 30 Mbps | 13.5 GB |
| AV1 or H.265/HEVC | 4K60 | 35 Mbps | 15.75 GB |
| H.264 | 4K30 | 42 Mbps | 18.9 GB |
| H.264 | 4K60 | 50 Mbps | 22.5 GB |
Multiply the applicable hourly volume by scheduled runtime to estimate feed transfer. Then check the selected cloud provider’s egress rates and allowances for the region where the encoder runs. Budget additional headroom for protocol overhead. These figures are planning estimates based on YouTube’s published recommendations, not measurements of a particular encoder.
YouTube’s settings guide also lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest, constant bitrate encoding, and support for H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, up to 60 fps. It says 4K streams use normal latency rather than the low-latency option. See YouTube’s live encoder settings and recommended bitrate table.

Confirm that the instance can encode the source in real time at the resolution and frame rate you intend to send. Compute requirements can change if the source codec, dimensions, frame rate, or overlays require transcoding. A source that can be passed through may need less encoding work than one that must be converted, but actual performance depends on the instance and workload. No benchmark is established here.
For example, a continuous AV1 or H.265 4K30 feed moves about 13.5 decimal GB per hour before overhead. Multiply by your monthly runtime and apply the egress terms for your chosen provider and region; add the VM charge for every hour it is on, including idle time.
AWS Elemental MediaLive
MediaLive on-demand charges add up the running inputs, outputs, and applicable add-ons. AWS states that billing has a 10-minute minimum and then rounds duration up to the nearest minute. A channel continues to incur charges while running even if it has no input or produces no output, so shut it down when it is not needed.

YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud tool for continuous prerecorded YouTube streams in Full HD and 4K at 30 or 60 fps. The directory establishes that it is an available service path, not its current price. Before comparing it with a VM or managed encoder, get current pricing and confirm runtime limits, simultaneous-channel limits, storage or transfer terms, and whether looping and scheduling are included. See YouTube’s live encoder directory.
For another cloud option, StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live 24/7 from uploaded videos, with looping and playlists. It is not a camera encoder. It charges one flat price per slot regardless of uploaded quality, supports video as uploaded up to 4K 60fps, and includes the first day free with no card. Its plans are:

AWS’s illustrative live-streaming architecture combines MediaLive encoding, MediaPackage ingest and packaging, and CloudFront distribution. Its examples depend on a particular region, output profile, audience size, bitrate, and caching assumptions. AWS gives example totals of approximately $69.74 for a one-hour, 1,000-viewer event using a 540p profile and approximately $1,505.60 for a one-hour, 10,000-viewer event using a 1080p profile. Those are full example architecture totals, dominated by viewer distribution; they do not price a single prerecorded 4K feed sent to YouTube. Consult the assumptions on the AWS live-streaming solution page before using those figures for another design.
What to gather before requesting an exact quote
- Hours per day or month and whether the stream runs continuously or on a schedule.
- Cloud region and provider, plus the intended 4K codec, frame rate, and bitrate.
- Whether the source can be passed through or needs a new encode, including overlays or other processing.
- Number of simultaneous streams and any high-availability requirement.
- For a managed service, whether the quote includes storage, scheduling, looping, packaging, or distribution.
Without those inputs, an all-in monthly figure would be guesswork. Compare options against the same runtime, output quality, redundancy, and included scheduling or looping—not just the headline compute rate.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It plays uploads rather than going live from a camera, keeps the video at its uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
