What counts as the Kingdom Hearts collection?
Square Enix’s announced KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] groups three releases: Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC. Square Enix scheduled the collection for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 8, 2026; as of October 7, 2026, that release date is still in the future. The official page lists physical purchase options for some platforms. Square Enix’s collection page has the announced details.

Playable games and movie entries
1.5+2.5 ReMIX includes Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, and Birth by Sleep Final Mix. Melody of Memory is not listed in the three-bundle collection. It is a separate title to add if by “the collection” you mean a broader set of playable series entries.
How long do the games take?
The estimates below are averages submitted by players to HowLongToBeat, as reported by How To Video Game on September 27, 2026. That guide says it checked the figures on September 24 and rounded them to the nearest hour. Actual time varies with difficulty and exploration; Square Enix does not publish these playtime estimates. These combined totals are rounded estimates from How To Video Game’s September 2026 report of HowLongToBeat player averages, not official publisher figures. If you also include the separate Melody of Memory, its reported main-story estimate adds about nine hours; a full-series total depends on which play style you count.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix has the longest listed main story, at about 30 hours. Birth by Sleep Final Mix has the highest listed completionist estimate, at about 97 hours. It has separate Terra, Ventus, and Aqua campaigns plus a secret final chapter, which helps explain why a completionist run is much longer than a story-focused one.
