To hide the Samsung logo that briefly appears when your TV turns on, open Menu > System > General > Boot Logo and turn the setting off, if your model has it. Samsung says the option controls whether its logo appears at startup; menu names and availability vary by model and market.
Turn off the Samsung boot logo
- Press Menu on the TV remote.
- Go to System > General.
- Select Boot Logo and disable it.
Samsung’s Hong Kong support instructions describe the setting as controlling whether the Samsung logo is displayed when the TV is turned on. The page was last updated January 28, 2026, and cautions that menu sequences and settings can differ by model and purchase market. If you do not see the option or the labels do not match, consult your model’s user manual or contact Samsung Hong Kong support.

A brief Samsung logo during startup
This is the Boot Logo setting described above. It is an on-screen setting; the instructions do not call for a replacement part or service-menu adjustment.

Smart Hub or the home screen
If the TV goes straight to Smart Hub rather than showing only a brief logo, adjust the separate startup-screen setting on supported models. Samsung Australia lists different paths by model year: 2023–2024 models use Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Options; 2022 models use Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Options; 2017–2021 models use Settings > General > Smart Features; 2016 models use Settings > System > Expert Settings > Autorun Last App/Smart Hub; and 2015 models use Menu > Smart Hub > Auto-start Settings. An app opens automatically
An app launching at startup is also distinct from the Boot Logo. Check the Start Screen Options or autorun controls available for your model; the exact path depends on the TV’s generation and software.
For 2025 Samsung Smart TVs
Samsung Malaysia’s instructions for 2025 Smart TVs place the Smart Hub startup control at Settings > All Settings > Advanced Features > Start Screen Option > Start with Smart Hub Home. Turning that option off makes the TV display the last-used source first. This changes Smart Hub startup behavior, not the Samsung boot logo. See Samsung Malaysia’s 2025 Smart TV instructions.

If you cannot find Boot Logo
- Confirm that you are looking for the brief Samsung startup logo, not the Smart Hub home screen or an automatically opening app.
- Check the user manual for your exact TV model. Samsung’s cited Boot Logo instructions are for Hong Kong products and warn that controls can differ by model and purchase location.
- Use your region’s Samsung support if the manual does not identify the setting or the TV’s menus differ.
