On a Samsung PC running Windows, uninstall Samsung Update through the normal Windows app-removal controls: find it in Start and choose Uninstall, or remove it under Settings > Apps > Installed apps. This removes the Windows utility—not Windows Update, Samsung PC drivers, or software on a Galaxy phone. If you mean Galaxy phone or tablet updates, use the separate controls described below.

How do I uninstall Samsung Update in Windows 10 or 11?
Use either Windows removal route. Labels can vary slightly by Windows version; Samsung does not document a unique uninstall dialog for this app.
- Start menu: Open Start, locate Samsung Update, then right-click it—or press and hold its entry on a touch screen—and choose Uninstall if the option appears.
- Settings: Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Find Samsung Update, select More (the menu beside the app), then choose Uninstall.
- If Settings does not offer removal: Open Control Panel and go to Programs > Programs and Features. Find Samsung Update and select the uninstall option if it is listed there.

What changes after removing it from a Samsung PC?
You lose the convenient Samsung Update route for downloading and installing recommended Samsung PC apps and drivers. Samsung says drivers may also be available through its model-specific Download Center and Windows Update; built-in Windows drivers may be sufficient in some cases. Whether a particular driver is available through either channel depends on the PC model and component, so check the support page for your exact model rather than assuming every driver has an alternative source. Do you mean stopping Galaxy phone or tablet updates?
Uninstalling Samsung Update on a Windows PC does not stop Galaxy system updates. On a Galaxy device, open Settings > Software update or System updates and turn off Auto download over Wi-Fi, if that setting is available on your device. You can still check for and install an update manually from the same area. Samsung also documents Smart Switch on a Windows PC or Mac as another way to install an available Galaxy update.

Turning off automatic Wi-Fi downloads is not the same as disabling every update mechanism. Menus and update availability differ by model, carrier, and software version. App updates have separate controls, and the available action depends on whether the app was downloaded or came preinstalled.

- Revert some preinstalled apps: Open Settings > Apps, select the app, tap More options, then tap Uninstall updates if that choice is shown. This returns that app to its factory version; it is not available for every app.
- Remove a downloaded app: Uninstall it through the device’s app settings or app launcher.
- Disable certain preloaded apps: If an app cannot be removed, Disable may be available. Some apps that support essential functions cannot be uninstalled or disabled.
