Kickstarter’s Help Center documents backer numbers only on the creator side, in the Backer Report. It doesn’t say where, or whether, you can see your own number. The most reliable route is to check your pledge details and, if the number isn’t shown, ask the project creator to identify your pledge.
What is documented, and what isn’t
Kickstarter’s Help Center article on the Status column in the Backer Report describes a creator-facing report in which backers are identified by number. The same article says reward status appears in a backer’s pledge details and on the backed-project page. That sentence is about reward status. It does not say your backer number appears in those places.

No official Kickstarter article was found that tells an individual backer where to read their own number, so this guide doesn’t name a specific tab or button. Menu layouts also change, so treat anything claiming a fixed location with caution.
Steps to try
- Sign in with the right account. Use the Kickstarter account that made the pledge, then open the project or your pledge details.
- Look at the pledge information. Check whether a backer number is displayed. It may not be, and that is not a sign something is wrong with your pledge.
- Message the creator through Kickstarter. Name the project and give context they can match, such as the email on your account or your pledge details. Ask them to look up your pledge in their Backer Report and tell you the number.
- Contact Kickstarter Support if the creator can’t help. No official support-specific lookup process was found, so don’t expect a particular outcome or turnaround.
What to keep private
Never send card numbers, passwords or other payment credentials to a creator. Your username, project name and pledge amount are normally enough to identify you.

The same approach applies if you’re looking for a “pledge number.” The official material reviewed doesn’t show where it appears for backers, so check your pledge details and, failing that, ask the creator.
