Put the reopening news and date in the opening line, then show the people and place behind it. A useful announcement video tells viewers exactly what is reopening, what they can expect, and where to check current visit details—without promising anything the brewery has not confirmed.
Start with the news viewers need
Make the first sentence or shot unmistakable: name the part of the business reopening and give the date. General announcement-video guidance recommends stating the change immediately (Biteable). Be precise: if only the taproom is reopening, say “the taproom,” not “the brewery.” If the patio, kitchen, tours, or events are not confirmed, do not imply they are included.

After the announcement, add context that helps people decide whether and how to visit. The story should support the news, not make viewers wait to discover what is changing.
What to include in the video
Show the experience that is actually returning
Film the relevant space and describe the confirmed service: for example, what visitors will be able to do when the taproom reopens. Use current details, not assumptions based on how the business operated before closing.

Put real people and local character on screen
A founder, brewer, taproom team member, regular, supplier, or community partner can make the announcement feel specific to the brewery. Drinks Ireland’s #TogetherAgain campaign featured Franciscan Well founder Shane Long, the team, suppliers, and a regular speaking about reopening and what they anticipated (Drinks Ireland). Theakston’s reopening campaign drew on community, craftsmanship, and heritage (Aberfield case study). These are creative examples, not proof that a particular format increases attendance or engagement.
Give confirmed visit information
Include the current hours, address, booking instructions, and any access or service conditions viewers need to know. Confirm each detail with the responsible staff shortly before filming or posting. If information changes, update the video caption and the destination page as well.

Close with a practical invitation
Invite viewers to visit and direct them to the brewery’s current website or social profile for updates. Keep the invitation proportionate to what the venue can deliver.

Check operational and safety details before publishing
Restarting production and reopening a customer-facing space are related but distinct matters. The Brewers Association Safety Subcommittee wrote on February 1, 2026: “When reopening brewery operations after extended or varied periods of shutdown, safety should be a top priority when restarting production.” Its resource discusses production restart, equipment and facility inspections, and safeguards (Brewers Association: Safely Reopening Brewing Operations). Use it as operational context, alongside the brewery’s current procedures and applicable local guidance—not as a substitute for them.
Do not copy pandemic-era rules into a current announcement. The California Craft Brewers Association FAQ was last updated June 11, 2020, is specific to California, and notes that rules can vary by state and locality (California Craft Brewers Association FAQ). Verify present requirements with the relevant authorities and responsible brewery staff before making a safety, access, or service claim.

Drinks Ireland invited campaign participants to share videos and social assets, while Theakston’s case study describes a social launch in the week before pubs reopened, alongside wider media and influencer activity (Drinks Ireland; Aberfield case study). These are examples, not evidence that a particular posting schedule guarantees reach or visits.
Share it on the channels where the brewery’s own audience can find it, and keep the destination page current. No cited source establishes a universally best platform, ideal video length, or measured attendance or sales result for brewery reopening videos.
