The guidance does not state an exception for Super Chats sent to creators in India. If you do not recognize a charge, that is a separate issue: report it as an unauthorized charge through your Google Account. Reporting it is not a guarantee of reimbursement.
Does a Super Chat sent to an Indian creator qualify for a refund?
YouTube’s Help page, “Refunds for Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Super Thanks,” groups Super Chats with other voluntary payments and says they are non-refundable. It does not identify a different rule based on the creator’s country. A viewer’s regret about a payment they chose to make is therefore not, by itself, a reason YouTube’s published policy says it can be refunded.

Google Play’s general refund guidance says outcomes can depend on the purchase, timing, payment method, and the user’s location. That general guidance does not establish an India-specific refund exception for voluntary Super Chats; the dedicated YouTube Super Chat policy is the relevant product-specific guidance.
What to do depends on what happened
| Situation | What YouTube’s guidance says | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| You sent the Super Chat voluntarily and changed your mind | Voluntary Super Chat payments are non-refundable. | Do not treat the creator’s location as an exception to the published policy. |
| You do not recognize the charge or believe it was unauthorized | YouTube provides a separate unauthorized-charge reporting process through your Google Account. A report does not guarantee reimbursement. | Report the transaction through your Google Account. |
| You are unsure how the payment was billed | Some new Super Chat purchases made in the YouTube Android app are billed through Google Play. | Check pay.google.com for the charge and billing details; contact YouTube support with payment questions. |

How Android billing affects the next step
YouTube says some new Super Chat purchases in its Android app use Google Play billing. This changes where the purchase is billed, not the price. Because billing arrangements can differ, check pay.google.com rather than assuming every Super Chat was charged through the same route. For payment questions, YouTube directs viewers to its support service.
